matthew_coggan
I have decided to buy some new cranks as the ones I have are f**ked. But I want to save money and remove the freewheel and put it on new cranks. I have noticed now after looking that the tensile freewheel has a different adapter needed to get it off to most other ones, so i have a few questions. Where can i get a tool from to take it off? As it needs a different tool is it harder to get off? Whats the chances of it braking when takeing it off?
aener
It's a standard BB tool. It comes off exactly the same as any other freewheel - it's just a different shaped fitting. It'll only break if you're doing something seriously wrong.

It's a pretty standard BB tool:) Looks like this: edit: F*ck Flipp where faster :'( nah not really harder because of the tool, but your freewheel probably sits pretty damn hard. I had to heat mine up using a heatgun to get it of. I broke 2 big wrenches the first time I tried it without heating it up.. haha.. chris_trials
Hacksaw, chisel, hammer. Cut two pieces out of the crank, remove pieces with chisel and hammer. Unscrew freewheel with bb tool
