Tony Harrison
You shouldn't need to jog the bike backwards - the momentum from your forward riding should be carried forward through the turn. This way you can do them at jogging speed, whip round and sail backwards - there shouldn't be a dead point in the move where you're practically stationary. Think of it as one move, not two. The main thing you need to do is get further over the front wheel. If you haven't been over the bars a few times yet then you're not trying hard enough! williams
I think doing it in a slope makes it much easier, you'll learn the technique faster I can't do them good, and my flat attempts looks like your...

What seems to happen when i go any faster is the bike tilts side ways instead of being nice an straight, and i just fall off. Also i've had my fair few shares of over the bar crashes whilst trying. This is my first attempt at them i've only been trying for 30 minutes. I bet with the lad from work i need to be able to do them before the new year or i owe him a pound
1a2bcio8
You go sideways because you're letting go of the brake too late. It's a standard mistake. Just force yourself to let go of the brake at just over 90 degrees. Furthermore, you need to go steeper over the front end of the bike. You're pulling it under you because your body is weighted to the back of the bike when it needs to be weighted further over the front end. It might feel more uncomfortable but you're unlikely to fall on your face.
