CalRobbo341
Just to get started I am not advertising?! First of all is it legit/real - I'm not going to get some second hand slightly used bike am I? I'm thinking about a 24", yes the bandwagon Echo 24" but don't want to waste £500 odd? What is the postage like, is there any hidden costs, import tax ect ect? Thats all I have to ask for now.. Linky Yes some people will say just but from someone I can trust ect, but it would be nice to see what other shops I/and people of TF can order form. CalRobbo341
Okay, I hadnt gotten any email from him so decided to inbox him on faceyb. We discussed a price on cranks, freewheel, bashring and pedals, posted it comes to around £150. He said that there is a small chance on a import tax but it won't be that much, around £20. The items I have bought should be with me shorty, 5-8 days from Monday. He also said that he would fit them correctly before sending them out to save me the hassle! So far so good. trials hoe
how much did postage work out in the end?
CalRobbo341
$209 or £129 For the goods. $33 or £20 For postage. Which is price, but I guess it works out cheaper overall. On the site it says, he doesn't have SL freewheels, he said he has them in stock and is sending me one of them but don't know if he will send me a TR, hopefully not! He also said for emails - sheldontrials@hotmail.com Obviously postage should vary for weight/size ect..
trials hoe
isn't the sl (new one) the ti version? and the tr the older 108 re-branded/named? 20 isn't too bad for postage really, even with the cost of cranks and (possibly) import tax it's still very reasonable price wise. so is this the same guy as the sheldon walker chap on ali express? (going off the name here) i think the 5-8 days for post is optimistic give the time of year though, might have to stick an order in if this goes well for you dude Edited December 21, 2012 by trials hoe
CalRobbo341
Ahh, idk, I hope so, anyway yeah, it will probably be later than the 5-8 days stated purely because of Christmas/New Year. And yes, I thilnk its the same guy, also on OTN - user name Sheldon, again most likely the same guy, will report with pictures/condition when they arrive

CalRobbo341
gunna bump this, how did it go? everything turn up as it was supposed to? Was going to post im here yesterday, got side tracked. He said he would post it on the 24th, then 5-8 days takes us to say the 1st, add Christmas and New Year and it should take longer, I have sent him a message asking if he posted it (8 am on Friday) Still nothing back from him... Yet (fingers crossed)! He hasn't gotten back to me yet, and I can only presume it is taking longer because of Christmas/New Year. Put it this way, if you always end up ordering around weekends and holidays, wait. Also if you are impatient and don't like ordering with new people, don't aha. I hope everything is okay and it is just taking long. [edit] Just got back to me now, he has posted them, and it's just a waiting game now. CalRobbo341
*Bump* All has arrived well, and I guess if I ordered before Christmas/New Year, it would have been alot faster. Now any advice to bed in a TR/SL 108 ECHO freewheel? trials hoe
good news! postage time wasn't to bad at all to say it was over xmas and new year. was riding with a lad on sat and his echo fw (new from tarty) made a horrific sound like a slip, it also sounds different to mine while coasting. mine was fine as soon as i put it on the cranks, never missed a beat since just gave it some teflon spray grease every once in a while or why its sounded a bit dry. edit - stupid f**king double posting internet connection bullshit, f**k you firefox!.
