Was Mission Reefer 26" now MAD Phase 1.2

I posted up in the beginners section, but thought I'd start a thread of the bike I picked up a week ago. I wanted something cheap to start on, so it didn't really matter how tatty etc it was just as long as the price was right.

Bought from an auction site for £77, plus postage. I sold the Magura rear brake off it and the Hope rear wheel, which near enough paid for the bike and postage. So mission accomplished, it's cost me very little to give trials a go.

I used to do a bit of street trials years ago on a mtb, so have the basics covered. Just trying to get my head round pedal kicks at the moment.

The bike as it was:

After a swop around of parts, that I already had:

37402D6B-2AF6-4AD8-BBF8-511DC9B73964-492

Am tempted to strip it down and paint the frame mat black, but will see how things go time wise over Christmas.

Needs a new front tyre, so am looking round for a reasonably price 2.35" Maxxis HR. Hayes discs seem to work ok, so they'll do for now. Might swop the stem out at some point, but will see if I get used to the position.

Thought I had a Black high rise stem in with my spares, but they're all O/S and my Brisa bar is 25.4. Will have to see if I can pick one up. Thanks for the comment.
Get some o/s high rise bars, it'll transform the way it rides for the better by 100%

Looks ok that dude, dann2707 on here has some try all rage hi rise bars for sale, he doesn't want a lot of money for them either. Drop him a message. Think they are uncut as well, which means at least 720mm I think
