isitafox
You'll struggle with a disc brake up front and rim brake forks
BradJohnson
Those forks are a no no.
FamilyBiker
if you go custom,go for marino!he´ll weld you together any geo(even copies of existing ones) and forks, too.
Lewis Gething
You have said you are getting a "Custom" bike, and yet that Because frame can be bought from Tarty I personally would go for dual Maguras over the dual cable brakes, but if you plan on upgrading to Hopes or similar then fair enough. ogre
factory full builds are just better, the stem/bars usually suite the frame. and they're usually fair value. unless you've been dabbling in trials long enough to just know what you want from a custom build you'll probably f**k it up or spend eternity changing shit.. seems how it is in my experience, every factory full build i've used has been better than the coble together builds you tend to find... although any combination of high bb high ep fw and isis/oversized and your winning... Blake
Why are you going for the cheaper brake on the back? And an expensive frame but shitty forks? Nono
isitafox
On a more helpful note than my previous comment, I wouldn't bother with the Monty forks, get the try all entry forks and run maguras front and rear. Wouldn't be a bad little bike with that setup. And Doc, I'd hardly call the Because expensive.
liamfriar199
frame isnt even that expensive, i am a complete noob, just chose some stuff and threw them together reallycheers isita, would like to give the discs a try as i have the magura hs33's on front and back and they have been nothing but a big problem

ghostrider88
Why are you going for the cheaper brake on the back? And an expensive frame but shitty forks? Nono BB5 is at least as powerful as BB7 and is stiffer(quite important for cable operated rear brake).

liamfriar199
well the first day i got them put on the bike by local bike store they where fine, but then they just started to break about a week afterwards, first both pads stopped moving, then one stopped moving, now they both move but barely even stop the bike unless your pull very very hard, thats why i was thinking of trying out a disc
315r
If you don't really know what you're doing I don't think you should be building a custom bike. This. Fork is the worst and heavy ever. Frame is nice,
stunt man t
well the first day i got them put on the bike by local bike store they where fine, but then they just started to break about a week afterwards, first both pads stopped moving, then one stopped moving, now they both move but barely even stop the bike unless your pull very very hard, thats why i was thinking of trying out a disc they must not have been bled properly top pro's use dual hs33's save some money and fix the problem Edited December 13, 2012 by stunt man t
isitafox
Yup, sounds like a poor bleed and probably not good pads. I don't wanna judge but generally bike shops aren't great when it comes to jobs involving trials bikes!
