Trials spec
What do the pro comp riders use as rim tape? I just use atomz rim tape but I see the stuff they use looks see through. It looks cool but can't find anything like it in the shops
CalRobbo341
Sellotape, purely because it weighs next to nothing.
Trials spec
Ah thanks! Think I'll stick to rim tape as its probably alot easyer and less effort!
BradJohnson
If your using sellotape put it on the sticky side up then put another layer on top sticky side down. This stops dirt sticking to it through the holes and also stops it from sticking to the innertube.

dann2707
If you highlight Brads post it actually contains a secret message underneath saying you can get sellotape from TrialsAddict for a super great price! How pathetic hahahahahaaha
SamKidney
I used sellotape as per Brads method. Used it on the front and rear for 4 months now with no issues.
BradJohnson
Sellotape or i think some use tennis racket tape. I think people use the racket tape, as bar tape. If you highlight Brads post it actually contains a secret message underneath saying you can get sellotape from TrialsAddict for a super great price! How pathetic hahahahahaaha Why so much hatred.. Trials spec
I run my tyres hard and the rim tape/tube is always poking out the holes in the rim! I would have thought tape wouldn't have much give in it or rip easy? Think I might try it as I wanna get my bike as light as possible

List a spec and i'll try and let you know where you can save the grams. Was just bantering it up. love youuuuuuuu. Come 24th. I would but i literally can't When you had it for the 22nd i even had it booked off work. Edited December 10, 2012 by BradJohnson

I use a schwalbe now joe folding front its got good grip and light. The small block 8 is lighter but less grippy.

Iv always used tape just because it's easy. It's handy and it lasts forever and is also about 1/4 of the weight

ghostrider88
Kevlar reinforced hose doesn´t flex any more than braided hose. Tyres are good, lighter tubes, double butted spokes/alloy nipples maybe? Lighter rotors,ti BB etc. Edited December 12, 2012 by ghostrider88
dezmtber
Braided hose is used on dh bikes to cool the brakes. The regular hoses are rated to much much more pressure than bike brakes operate at.
