clerictgm
Last time I used vee's it was terrible. Avid SD7+SD5 lever+noname cables+inspired pads+rim with half-dead grind+zhi adapters (4bolt to vee). Absolutely no control and no feeling of brakes. Bad bite and hold. So I want to try some "brakewith" riding and still don't know maybe I was doing something wrong? Maybe some good cables (like odyssey linear) and good grind with pads for grind turn my brakes into brakes than crap like it was. Or maggie really so good? Main arguments against maggie: 1)I would tear hose sometimes 100% and omfg it will be so frustrating. 2)it's more expensive. 3)It can leak. But control and good bite and hold are most importantly for me. And evo mounts are bad or ok? Edited December 10, 2012 by clerictgm
SamKidney
Might as well use the V posts properly if you have them. Vee brake. SD7 lever, odyssey linear slic cable, and whatever arms you fancy. Im running Shimano Aceras and theyre nice. Id recommend some decent pads too. I liked my Inspried pads on a smooth rim, but they disappeared on a grind. Now running TNN ADV's and theyre properly good stuff.
