1a2bcio8
Potentially through the worst of withdrawal which means, after 6 months of heavy use, I'm finally medication free. This is a pretty significant step away from my accident that will hopefully enrichen my life a bit more

isitafox
Oh the joys of work, started at quarter to two and only just had my first train. It's flown straight past now though so I can sit back with my brew and continue to surf the forum. Proper grafter!

JDâ„¢
I've just been to look at a potential house for Hayley and me, and it was ridiculously good. Fingers crossed now!
Muel
To rent or buy?
JDâ„¢
Bit o' long term rent. With houses making no money at the moment I don't really fancy paying a ton of stamp duty and a deposit on a mortgage that isn't going to be making any money - that money can be better used elsewhere for now! Muel
Aye sounds like a plan. Am I right in remembering that you're renting out Hayley's old place as well?
JDâ„¢
Yea, we'll move into the new place (whether it's this one or something else) to get her place empty so we can finish it off with some space, then get that rented out. That'll cover most of the costs of the new place so it's not a massive step up in money for a much nicer place and area. Excited!
MadManMike
Work announced a 5.12% bonus, due to be paid next week - coilovers for the car, a bit to charity and my insurance paid off. Bosh!
SamKidney
4 weeks later and a load of hassle and the lad with my Ice frame, front wheel and tyres has finally agreed a time for me to collect them all tomorrow. About time.

Or you can see it from another light.. When renting you're just paying someone else's mortgage! House prices are going to be stagnant for 15/20 years most likely (unless you live London/south east where it's a bit shorter) why not buy somewhere smaller below the sdlt threshold? I obviously don't know the market where you are or personal circumstances, but yeah..

I obviously don't know the market where you are or personal circumstances, but yeah.. Between us we already have a property, so we're kind of hedging our bets. This way there's lots of flexibility should our circumstances change, and I can use some of the cash we've stashed for a potential deposit on something more likely to make mid term gains during that 10 year period. Kind of like a spread betting system I guess...
