It seems like it basically has none of the typical features that draw people to cat ownership. Is it primarily an aesthetic thing or did you actively want the extra obligations that owning that breed entails? Or do you just like wiping cat's anuses? We all know I'm incredibly extrovert, like odd things, have odd habits and enjoy a cuddle. So why not get a cat that's the same. I like odd/rare/unique breeds so it's ticked that box, because they rely on you to groom them and a lot of the time for heat they become really attached to their owners and follow you around nigh on everywhere which ticks another box, and they're different. My younger cat has got Maine Coon in him, all the attributes but more normal sized (he is still a large cat at 5+ kg); his brother (my parents cat) also displays the attributes and is a monster, well over 6kg and similar size to that ^^^ one. Their mother (my parents cat) and uncle (my oldest) both display some Russian blue attributes; they were both barn cats that my mum got from a local farm for nothing at the age of 6 months, that was 12 1/2 years ago now.
