isitafox
Family car is on hold and as I've got a new job that will mean a bit of travelling round local I picked up a cheap Yaris for £500. Gonna try my hardest not to become a born again boy racer...
TrialsIsHard
I am the proud new owner of 25% extra time in exams, I literally have no idea why everyone hasn't done this. I paid £12 for a doctors note, and then they gave it to me no questions asked. Winner

isitafox
Finally caved and put an order in to Musclefood.com after debating it for ages. Bit of a test really as if me and the wife split up It might make life easy for me when I live alone plus I personally think I got a blinding deal. Order consists of 2 x 8-9oz Chicken Breast Fillets 2 x 6-7oz Lean Turkey Escalopes 2 x 6oz Great British Hache Steaks Chicken Breast Sausages-0.45 kg Premium Lite Beef Burgers - 2 x 4oz Low Fat Bacon Medallions - 350g Chicken Drumsticks-0.34 kg Chopped Cabbage - 500g Diced Sweet Potatoes - 500g Curly Green Kale - 250g High Protein Mocha Wafer - 15g Protein Caramel Delight Protein Bar-42g Bar Smoky Barbecue Zippers - 38g Bag all for £19 which I reckon is a good price. I look forward to testing it all out! So far I've had some chicken breasts, the turkey steaks and the lite beef burgers. The chicken breasts are massive though from Lithuania (these ones, they did say they get them from a few places around the EU) which to me isn't a problem but I made sure not to tell the wife. The Turkey steaks were from Poland and very tasty when I fried them with a bit of cayenne pepper and I've literally just had the lite beef burgers (100% British) and can happily say they were the tastiest burgers I've had in a long, long time. Barely any fat came off them either, a bit like venison burgers, so I'll definitely look at getting those again! So far I probably would recommend the place, can get an offer code if anyone fancies giving it a go!

MadManMike
I buy all my meat from musclefood, look out for the 99p mince offers - 500g of lean mince for 99p, you cna usually only order 10 packs when it's on offer, but it's quality stuff. I've been trying to convince people I know that even the deals at supermarkets are massively overpriced. Poor quality, water filled meat isn't a bargain just because they change the price label from white to orange and red. Musclefood supply fantastic quality chicken, huge breasts, at something like 60% of the cost of ASDA's cheap crap.
TrialsIsHard
I'll be 100% putting an order in, I got 5kg's of chicken breasts and 30 steak burgers from another online retailer.. gourmet something? They were massive with no fat on them at all and didn't shrink whatsoever compared to the Tesco Value chicken breast I'm buying now. They were in a deal and cost as you say around 60% of Tesco's horse filled 'meat'. Edit: Dave, I'd be interested in an offer code please! waybe2014
Don't knock horse meat. It's cheaper and leaner than beef. I'd try if I could find somewhere that sold it provided it was slaughtered humanely.
TrialsIsHard
I'm not knocking it all, they do horse meat biltong which is mega nutritious. I'm knocking Tesco being dishonest and not displaying to customers what's actually in their meat products.
waybe2014
That's true. This is also why you should never order a 'meat' curry lol

isitafox
Insurance sorted on the new race car, didn't do too bad at £305 when you consider I lost all my no claims for not having a policy of my own for the last 4 years and the original quote was over £800! I don't go there because i'm at work and don't have time. I get most my meat from ALDI these days. It seems like good stuff compared to the other supermarkets. MadManMike
No I've not tried a local butcher, mainly down to working constantly and the convenience of musclefood dropping a box of meat on my desk.

isitafox
I don't know why, on a related note however I noticed Mike had a length of sausage inside him the other night and thoroughly enjoyed it!
MadManMike
What's your point? Doesn't everyone love a drive out to the countryside to put three warm sausages inside themselves, then have a long drive home feeling warm and content?
MadManMike
I love old skool Technics hifi stuff, I've had a few different Technics amps over the years, so when someone in my block posted a for sale ad for this I just had to grab it. It's four separates that I've hooked up to my Ruark Epilogue II speakers. £20 well spent!
