bing
I just juiced too. Lesson learnt: Bring spare underwear to work in future. Trump or dump. Never a good game to play after an influx of fruity goodness
isitafox
Finally been given the official confirmation that I've got a relief signaller job I applied for back in October. The best bit is I'll be getting a pretty good pay rise and I'll mostly be working the same box I do now and previous!
forteh
Had a letter through the post from work today, it would appear I've gained a 1k payrise without asking for it, that's in addition to the 2% cost of living increase (that we haven't had for last 8 years or so) over christmas and in addition to the 1.5k payrise I had 2 months ago! Can't complain too much, just need to get correct title now, officially I am still only a draughstman

Paperclip
Dman got some woman who we later confirmed as Jabba's sister two hand grab his arse while filming. Stealthy then she just squared up to him after he turned around and asked her what she was doing. She was proper moist! Also the weather is amazing here in Barcelona how the locals are wearing winter clothing amazed me.

SamKidney
Successful and productive few days. Started at 6 and finished at 10.30 yesterday, then an early start to get a clutch done before normal work hours this morning at 5.30. Left work at 8 tonight after I'd finished replacing the rear axle on my car. New rear light unit fitted, o/s trackrod end replaced and tracked and it feels like a different car. Can drive it with some confidence now knowing my rear stub axles are firmly attached to the axle
Pashley26
House things. I've been very quiet lately, because I've been flat out. Moved into the new house, some quite serious dramas involving my sister, basically nobody had been into the house she lived in for 7 years, which in itself sounds a bit weird but we all just assumed she was a bit reclusive about it. Anyway, it came to the time that she decided to move out, Grandpa said I can move in (it's his place) so mum agreed to help her move. Turns out that she has got a serious hoarding problem, like on those TV programmes where people just hoard rooms full of shit absolutely floor to ceiling. Yup. There were rooms in the house which were literally floor to ceiling with 'stuff' just chucked on top of more stuff, some rooms you couldn't even open the door to fully. Insane. My mum's pretty distraught about it. Sooooo, I've got a house project. First thing to do was to remove all the damp and the mold from the walls, it's disgusting really. Last Saturday my mate Joe came down to help me move, good lad. My mum refused to let me see the place until she'd spent an entire day cleaning it, but even after a days worth of mum's attention it was still absolutely disgusting. Deadline is that I've got my girlfriend getting back from Australia on the 31st. So I've got until the end of the month to get this place spot on. Anyway, I've spent all week assembling furniture, sanding down and preparing the glossing and woodwork in the house, cleaning everything, replacing locks, replacing plumbing, organising the decorators coming in, getting an electrician in to sort out the electric meter, getting the utilities and internet/sky setup, changing the power supply on my cooker, fitting a hot water feed for my washing machine and replacing the waste from the old sink, fixing all of the windows, measuring and booking new flooring, all sorts of stupid shit. Today I went a bit nuts and bought a new kitchen. I'll be fitting it this weekend with my stepdad which will be nice. Decorators are in on Monday to paint everything brilliant white. Electrician should be in by the weekend to give me some additional power points. Plumber is in on Monday to replumb the feeds for the kitchen sink. f**king. Exhausted. And skint. Some pictures from over the past week. Sam the 50''er. The place is absolutely huge! Taking Joe out for a curry to thank him for the house move help. My 75ft back garden. The first night in the new house. Prawn came round and bought me Dominos. I bought the coolest light in the world ever. My first dinner in my new house that I'd actually cooked myself. Another curry...Haha. The state of all the window frames. My little work station that I'm working my way around the house with renovating things on. Made good of the mold, glossing 90% done. Decorators are doing the final gloss coats and cutting. Looking a bit more homely! I'm having the kitchen fitted out with these gloss grey doors on the base units, two 600 and two 400's as base units, then two 600 and 400 wall units mirrored above them with a gloss white door. That's the base unit doors And these are the wall unit doors. Obviously all the corner plynths and ends have matching fascias. The doors all have heavy duty soft close hinges. The handles are badass, pressed brushed stainless handles. Then for counter top I've got a 2.8mm surface with a stainless base. Matching stainless sink, with a dedicated 600 sink unit. And a new tap... Shit hot service from Ikea kitchens to be fair, free consultation, everything all done for me, the 67 items that make up my kitchen are being delivered tomorrow between 3 and 4 FOC. Can't grumble so far. I've got a room cleared out so I can make the units up whilst my stepdad rips out the old kitchen. Then tonight I've got to order my acrylic splash back and the metro-tiles for the cabinet to wall unit space. Exciting as f**k. This is my first proper house of my own, and I'm really loving it!

jack1987
Just a heads up ikea kitchens can be a nightmare to fit you need all your water pipes at floor level there isn't a void behind the units.
monkeyseemonkeydo
Looks good, shame about all the unexpected work involved. On a side note, that garden?! It looks like a prison exercise yard-is the pic deceptive or is there little chance of getting sun? Loved getting my own place, such a difference to renting for some reason. MadManMike
Probably because once it's yours, you can begin dreaming about the pool and waterslide, rooms made entirely of trampolines etc... Then after a year of living there you realise you'll never be able to afford it, nor would the mrs let you do it. And yes, those two things are on my list to have in a house at some point.
Luke Rainbird
Cool stuff, Jardo. Shame it's only a rental but understandably a bit different from most Can't bloody wait to lay down the cash for my own place. By the end of the year it'll be done - hopefully sooner! Ross McArthur
Cant wait to be away from living in a flat. Factor fees can be a killer. I even have to pay the factor fees for the flats I rent out!
Pashley26
Just a heads up ikea kitchens can be a nightmare to fit you need all your water pipes at floor level there isn't a void behind the units. This. I've ony got my hot and cold water feeds going above the units, which I will box in. Luckily I am not mounting the units there because it will block off a window so I am just running a 400 unit up to it, boxed in against the pipes. Shit is getting out of hand. I bet you can't, it's been a long time coming. It's a bit of an odd one this, my Grandpa's shop is now sold. He has got two years to wind the shop down and hand the keys back, but part of the sale was that it had a serviceable and livable duplex above it. I have shown him that it isn't livable. And I understandably don't want to live in it as it sits. So his options were, I move out because Bethan won't live there. Then in 18 months time he will need to renovate it for sale. Or, I fit a kitchen, get the place re plastered and decorated, renovate it to being a nice place to live and don't pay rent. So it has worked out well for me, I get to be handy with the DIY and have all the things I want, I don't pay rent and grandpa gets a huge improvement in price for his property.
