TrialsIsHard Posted June 11, 2014 Report Share Posted June 11, 2014 Nearly totalled the GTI and shunted a car full of school kids today, due to a minibus stopping in the middle of the road on a blind corner at the bottom of a hill. Thought about jumping to the other side of the road to go round if I didn't stop in time, but a tractor with a road level bucket on the front (of all things-seriously) was coming the other way. I was doing 45 on a 60 limit, before anyone says it Thank f**k I managed to stop within 12" of the back of the car, not sure if how I would cope if I hit them. Reasons why this is in the happy thread: because I didn't shunt the car of someone who used to help at the local scout group, and that I didn't decide to back-out and use the other side of the road and get killed, and that I didn't not spend money on decent tyres.
