Just got bored of riding, and my bad confidence. Rolled my bars a-f**king lot forward, and my bike just felt amaaaazing! Got pretty much all my confidence back, could go way bigger, made a big drop gap I've never had the balls to do. Mark W Posted October 4, 2013 Report Share Posted October 4, 2013 Got entertained at the World Cup last weekend when I heard a rumour that someone's been spreading around about me getting fired from TartyBikes. What apparently happened: I sold Luke Cockshott some Trialtech forks on the cheap, Adam found out and fired me. What actually happened: I rode with Luke Cockshott on a Saturday (I think), when he happened to snap his forks. I took the bits of fork back with me to save Luke posting them back for warranty. I suggested that so we could ride the day after, he could buy a pair of forks online on Saturday night, and I could pick them up for him on my way to Leeds. It made sense so that's what we did (I also cut his steerer tube down like a bo$$). At a later date, Stan processed the warranty on his old forks. I should probably point out this also happened ages before I left TartyBikes. Now - in that there were very few people who knew anything about it at all, it's pretty clear to me where that rumour got started, especially bearing in mind the way it's travelled around. Even without finding out a bit more tonight about exactly who knew about it it was pretty easy to guess who it might have been, but all the added details confirm it. This amuses me in several ways. Anyway, riding London tomorrow with a bunch of friends.
