isitafox
My Echo/Shimano jobbies, it's a shame as I really wanna run my JAF rotors rather than going back to the standard Hope Trials ones I have.
bing
What's wrong with the jaf rotors then?
isitafox
Cause they're 185's and the mount is set for 180mm
bing
Oh dear. You need a cunning plan then
JDâ„¢
Couldn't you send them back to Josh to swap for some 180s?
Duncy H
Or could they be turned down?
Muel
Turning rotors is very difficult because they're never flat, however if you spin the wheel, scribe a line then grind down to that they'll be fine.Or, just pull the wheel back 2.5mm and use a little tensioner. That's what I did on my 08 Echo Lite: http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/topic/123188-my-echo-lite/
isitafox
Don't know what to do at the moment, stick a magura on, put my mono trial rotors on or file the jaf one down slightly. Would rather not start butchering my brand new discs though!
AdamR28
If they are brand new, get them swapped. Or just take the grinder to them
FamilyBiker
v-pad spacers in between like avis have? the little ones have 5mm exactly for 1 ball washer and 1 bowl washer
isitafox
Adam do you reckon they'd be able to fit onto a lathe to be turned down slightly??
Blake
you could bolt them to an old hub and mount that in a lathe?
isitafox
Anyone got a disc hub shell spare?
Muel
you could bolt them to an old hub and mount that in a lathe? They'll warp or wobble around as soon as the cutting tip touches it. I'd do it by hand with an angle grinder.

Greetings
Drunk a few beers last night, went under the shower and fell down a step landing on the side of my foot. Threw up from the pain (and the booze probably also) and now I can't walk, drive or do pretty much anything, including work. I don't have a walking stick so I'm jumping everywhere and getting extremely sweaty as a result, also forgot to pay my health insurance. Good times
Tom Booth
On the same industrial estate as I work on there's a load of Turkish people that supply meats to kebab houses. It stinks walking past on the best of days but with the heat the pile of chicken corpse they keep out in the carpark smells ripe. f**king disgusting!
