Mark W
I think we've salvaged a frame like that before...
dann2707
How did you go about it?
Mark W
...but for serious, we've got a BB tap. I don't know exactly how 'industrial' the initial process of getting it wide enough to accept the tap was, but it did the trick on a frame we had.
dann2707
The thing is then i'd be out of pocket again. Takes £12 to post. Grrr, so frustrated

Mark W
If it makes you feel any better, I went to Interparcel.com to see if I could find cheaper postage prices for you (which I did, but only a bit) and consequently, thanks to the weird way online advertising works, all the side-bar banner ads on websites I go on seem to just be about Interparcel now. It's a nice change from seeing endless streams of Vans Atwood shoes in fairness.
Jake.
Came back from JAF bikes like it Same thing happened to Jacks sky 2 head tube, he reckon'd jaf clamped it and it ovalized it. Still managed to get a headset in at a push though, but jaf would have nothing to do with it.
isitafox
Is there a chance it was like that before? The frame was already in a bit of a battered state with all the cracks and it'd explain why the BB was fooked in the first place? My old XC frame was the same and I just had the shell tapped and faced.
Muel
Pretty shocked if that did happen at Jaf. More likely to have happened in the post surely? I don't believe the ovalised headtube story though. Why would they clamp it? It was probably oval already from riding it and the owner just didn't notice when he knocked the cups out. Matthew62
Not uncommon at all for this to happen during postage. I've seen almost hundreds of brand new frames being no use due to dented headtubes that aren't able to be rectified. Got to pack them up real good. Had a long think about it overnight and I do think it's happened in the post but that doesn't matter, the problem is still there and I should be out riding now but i'm not. SCOTTY___
Non drive side Sorry wan* at explaining. When you get a BB it comes in 2 pieces. The whole solid BB and the plastic shitty part that is basically just a guide. If you can, bish bash bosh the frame into a round as possible shape.. either tidy the threads if need be with a needle file or a tap.. and force the plastic side in. If the drive side is 100% ok.. the frame will work. try & use a copper hammer Edited June 16, 2013 by SCOTTY___

isitafox
Had a few guys at work moaning about a fuel tanker blocking the walkway into work but I said it didn't bother me. Sods law the thing was there when I finished work today and blocked me in for an hour before I could leave!

Obviously with them coming from so far away I googled it and it's a scam. f**k off, I want a real person to buy my car.
