JD™
Haha, yea. I've been paranoid enough to take random pictures of my night in case I'm quizzed! Not sure how it's tough for her to grasp that a night in the office wasn't high on my list of Monday night activities! Ah well, she'll come round.
Skoze
Yeah, down south it's preeeeeetty bad tonight; full-bore blizzards out of no-where.
Luke Rainbird
How bad was the knock. Mike? All ok I hope! Jason; Sucks to be you
MadManMike
Pretty bad Lukas, hence Mikes crash not a million miles away saying that, it can't be as bad here as I'd be confident of getting home if everyone else just buggered off! Mine was only minor, but still more damage to the front bumper! The problem is that NONE of the roads in Hastings have seen a gritter - usually the main roads are OK but today all the roads were terrible. I was doing 10mph the whole way until a guy slid out in front of me and I went into the back of him. I had to leave my car at the side of the road and walk home. Another problem was the volume of traffic - cars everywhere, mostly spun out or badly abandoned. Also a double decker bus has overturned near my house. Chaos. Tom Booth
I usually hate these sorta replies, but it took the biscuit this morning. There was a dusting of snow, and a 25minute journey took me just under 2 hours! Mental. I had to que for just over 6miles...
Little Yoshi
And this is why I love living where I do. Not many idiots up here that have no clue how to drive in the snow. I really do feel sorry for you lot.
dann2707
But doesn't it take you about an hour to go to the shops for a carton of milk?

Skoze
Another problem was the volume of traffic - cars everywhere, mostly spun out or badly abandoned. I can count 12 cars stuck on the hill from my window. Gonna be up early with a rope on the back of the landy!
JD™
So I got bored of the office last night and left for home at about midnight. Got home not long after 2 so it wasn't too bad, but now the roads are all shut so I can't get back. Ah well, time to bodge together a home office for the day! Not ideal... Greetings
Commissioned a new website. Initial mockup of the frontend was to arrive within 3 days of signing the contract. It's been 10 days now, got absolutely nothing and what I love about this team is that they think I'm an idiot. So a few days ago I heard that the guy responsible for design has a horrible disease and is thoughtfully finishing the project at home. He was supposed to send it yesterday, I called the team leader today and he pretended to be very surprised that I didn't get anything because he sent me an email yesterday. Yeah right. He said no problem, I'll send it to you again, just let me start my computer. An hour later I call him to ask whether his windows is still loading and he says yeah we have a problem with our email server. Haha. Suggests sending the project to me from his private gmail address, I agree to it, he asks a few times if I'm sure? Needless to say nothing has arrived yet. What idiots. Well, now I'm going to be super fastidious and fussy. Edited March 12, 2013 by Greetings
CalopS
Been eyeing up a line for ages that I pass when driving sometimes which involves wodging a bin first then a sidehop. Every other bin in Leeds I've seen people ride which is the same sort as this has been solidly attached to the ground and I went today to try it and it's not attached to anything ......gutted
Muel
A fortnight ago the PSU died in my server, then a week ago one of my graphics cards started playing up in my desktop, now my desktop won't turn on. PSU is fine so I reckon it's the motherboard. b*****d computers.

bikeperson45
I'm in upstate New York, public transports pretty much non-existant here. I'm kind of learning to drive slowly, but I can't afford a car yet (or lessons) so needed a job to do that. Couldn't get a job at any of the local business so left with the one 8 miles away. Need to work to get a car but need a car to get to work

bikeperson45
It's not bad at the moment but now it's getting warmer I don't want to show up all sweaty. It's just the effort that's annoying really, saves getting a gym membership though.
