tomturd
So that eBay venture was short lived. It's flooded with competition, selling for next to nothing. Why do people do that? By selling for such a small amount, they corner the market but they make pretty much nothing on a sale, so what's the point? Go 10p or so less than competition and you'll still win, whilst actually making money... I searched ebay for 'dont say baby' a few days ago and saw quite a few other sellers back then, so I'm not sure if you were seeing different search results? This one has 650 sales: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dont-Say-Baby-Baby-Shower-Game-Dummy-Necklace-Charm-Girl-Boy-/121482862266?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&var=&hash=item1c48f15ebaso I guess they've been selling them for a while. What I dont understand is how the likes of babzmedia can sell something for less than the price of P&P alone.
MadManMike
Yeah there's been a few people selling them for a while, but in the last couple of days there has been a flood of listings all at half the price of existing ones. There was a few of us selling in harmony until now. I've slashed the prices today and just sold again, so it's obviously price related. And yeah, I don't understand those babzmedia types either, no idea how they pull it off.
Mark W
...it's obviously price related. You mean people aren't looking out for the quality of the necklaces they'll use once drunkenly and never again?

MadManMike
You mean people aren't looking out for the quality of the necklaces they'll use once drunkenly and never again? My point was that it's not just sales being randomly down. Sometimes you can have a quiet day or two, for no reason.
sfboy
Sold an old bike for £40 on the 'bay, just to clear up some room in the garage. Guy takes 3 days to pay because said he was ill. I say that's fine, got the moneys, will hold until the weekend. Changes pickup date on the Sunday he was due to collect. I say that's fine, it's a nice day, pickup Monday. His Dad picks up the bike on Monday. I even throw in a few tools and things to keep things sweet and clear up more room. Now contacts me saying the bike is too big and wants his money back. Seriously, where do some people get the f**k off in this world? I don't think I've ever expected people to go out of their way for me, and always been genuinely appreciate and nice when they do. Furthermore, I always try and return the favour or repay the global karma to someone else. I must have been a dick to someone without realising it and this is the universe paying me back by throwing this chump my way...
Tony Harrison
You mean people aren't looking out for the quality of the necklaces they'll use once drunkenly and never again? I confused about the bit where everyone is in the shower. Mike just find a new niche and try again.
MadManMike
I'm not even that fussed about not selling them, we knew it would be short lived, I just don't get morons who sell stuff for no profit. Since lowering the prices at lunch time we've sold three more sets, so there could be some life in this yet - just at reduced margins. Jolfa
On the matter of chump buyers, I had a guy texting me allll day about a GoPro, wanted to know everything about it; spec, why I was selling, how much I'd used it, where it'd been, how it compared to other cameras etc, etc. He finally paid then noticed it didn't come with a remote, told him it was for sale separately to which he replied "but this model came with a remote, that shouldn't be extra." Despite the fact the camera came with about £150 worth of extra shit for reasonable money... Long story short, he bought the remote as an extra Oh also, he needed it next day to take on holiday, rather than drive an hour to get it and guarantee he had it in time he wanted next day post, which I had to prompt him to pay for despite discussing the price of express post moments before. I'm sure I'll be hearing from him again when he realises it requires an SD card too. Edited August 4, 2015 by Jolfa

On amazon there is, makes it mega cheap to but but a bit dicks to sell.

Jolfa
Pssshhh, you don't gave to describe menu's to these people in agonising detail, only for them to decide it doesn't matter and they'll have a beer with that too. Count yourself lucky!

JD™
Please don't. London doesn't need any more people who don't want to be there. It's the greatest city in the world, and yet 80% of the people walk around with suicidal looks.
AdamR28
I think that clearly indicates it is far from the best city in the world
JD™
Nah, because ONLY 80% of people walk around like that. Over 80% of people are idiots, so it's amazing so many of them can actually see how great it is Clutching at straws.
MadManMike
To be fair, I've lived in a few places in London. Never again. It's a soul draining place, 90% of the people there are arrogant arseholes that drag you down. I can visit for a weekend, but I really dislike the place. Also, £2k rent for one bedroom flats and stuff is just LOL.
