JT!
I already suggested that earlier. Sounds like it's not an option. Have I already suggested this...? But powerline adapters. Mine was only $30 and works great.
Skoze
Wow, fun until then! Was that an internal punch-up? I hope not. Yeah, me and the singer/ guitarist who was also my housemate at the time... Been chatting with a band i've been in and out of touch with for years about doing some stuff with them soon though which should b cool, they're called Velvet Morning - check 'em out for some sweet psych and stuff. I use them, no noticeable difference between that and a Cat5/
Stephen Morris
Why do people wait until they get to the cashier to start thinking about what petrol pump they've used?
MadManMike
Or an entire trolley load of food goes through, gets bagged and put back in the trolley before they think about how to pay for it. They've stood in the queue for 5 minutes, plenty of time to decide which card to pay on. And those that pay for said trolley using vouchers. Hundreds. Of. Vouchers. Jolfa
Or people who have waited in a packed bar for 10-15 mins to get to the front of the queue, don't know what they want, decide on a complicated cocktail, and then wait the entire time it takes to make it and put it in the till before handing you a card for an account with no money, then have to scratch around to get $15 of coins together between them and 6 mates the other side of the venue all the while 100 other drunk idiots stare you down like hungry lions. Or more commonly in England, groups of older people in the same situation, get to the front before asking their 5 friends they walked in with, that they've been out walking with all day, what they want. Establish these things while you wait people!

Tom Booth
Not angry, more saddened by this.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk Jenny an I saw the whole thing and it really dampened the day. It was such a surreal moment, the whole festival fell deadly quite after realizing what had happened. Really sad an was tragic to watch. MadManMike
So that eBay venture was short lived. It's flooded with competition, selling for next to nothing. Why do people do that? By selling for such a small amount, they corner the market but they make pretty much nothing on a sale, so what's the point? Go 10p or so less than competition and you'll still win, whilst actually making money...
AdamR28
A familiar story... people are idiots...
Jolfa
That's why I usually go for quite high ticket items, the initial investment is too much for most idiots
JT!
Why do people do that? Well they must be making something out of it. I suppose all it takes is a stay at home mom who has nothing better to do when the babie's sleeping and doesn't really care so long as she's breaking even. MadManMike
I knew it wouldn't last, but I wasn't expecting an overnight flood of 1% profit sellers.
Jolfa
It's usually people who don't account for the cost of fees, all they see is £1 coming in and ignore the 13.4% they lose on every PayPal/eBay sale and the initial outlay and the postage... If they did a bit of maths and realised that they're only making about 20p per sale they might reconsider. Then again, maybe not, people are thick as f**k.
MadManMike
I have a profit & loss sheet running that accounts for listing fee, selling fee, material, postage, packaging... Based on that I then set a % that makes it all worth while (Assembly and packing takes time, as does listing, posting...). I'm going with your "People are morons" approach. Jolfa
It's the same kind of cretins that get sucked into Forever Living/Herbalife and the likes, they see the potential gross profit, generate none of it, give up after a month when it's time to pay the bill at the end and net profit (or loss as the case may be) is not so attractive.
MadManMike
Yeah, well the ship has sailed on this one - just lowered all the prices to sell off what she has left. Bunch of twats! I hate all that Herbalife crap, that method of selling has been around for years and the only people that profit are those at the top laughing at their Facebook minions. dann2707
I never feel like this but lately (seems to be since I got my phone stolen) I've been feeling anxious maybe? I feel like my lungs are lifted up and I have something stuck in my chest? Or is it just stress? It's like something in me is stopping me from relaxing and being truly happy like now. It's like im longing for something but don't know what to calm this feeling. Weird post I know but has anyone had anything similar as it's really affecting my day to day life. Feel like curling up into a ball and sleeping forever :/
Mark W
Well they must be making something out of it. I suppose all it takes is a stay at home mom who has nothing better to do when the babie's sleeping and doesn't really care so long as she's breaking even. Or it's done by people who sell a wide range of stuff, and operate on a "Sell lots for a little" approach rather than "Sell little for a lot". Allows them to be flexible, spot gaps in the market, exploit them then move on. It doesn't matter if you're not making the maximum theoretically possible profit if you're scooping up a big share of the market at a lower profit. JD™
Yep, if everyone doing it 'properly' gives up this month because they've flooded the market overnight, then they'll have it to themselves in a month and can get their margins back. Stick it out Mike – chances are in a month or so they'll be gone. Maybe just stop selling for a bit and see what happens with the prices?
