Jolfa
Not particularly angry but mildly annoying - I'm buying/selling GoPros to make a little extra cash, the first couple went smooth as you like, the ones I have at the minute are just retard magnets, wanting to swap old mobiles and games consoles worth a quarter of the cameras and then getting mardy about it when I say no. They start texting me at about 6:30am about this too Mongs.
isitafox
Where do you sell them, ebay? I'm looking at getting one myself and it's a toss up between a GoPro or one of those SJ4000's.
Luke Rainbird
I'd forgotten that you did that - I bought an SJ4000 yesterday after my GoPro started playing up. Should probably have got in touch with you first.
Jolfa
Australian Gumtree primarily but some go on UK eBay and forums too, being posted from Australia puts most people off though, despite the postage being free and the price of the camera packages being pretty competitive! I wouldn't buy an SJ, purely because I'm a massive brand snob
Luke Rainbird
Yep. However I'm not and I'm a massive cheapskate so given that they're getting decent reviews and the (in)frequency with which I use my current GoPro it should be more than up to the job for me
Ross McArthur
What do you do? Barter the f**k out of people selling go-pros then sell them on at a higher price while being bartered down yourself? Any tips on bartering people down and not being bartered down..? AndrewEH1
Some things are cheaper in Australia. I went with two DSLRs and came back with three as I and ended up buying a 5D MkIII without even planning to as I would save maybe £300. I'm tempted by Amazon as you can get a memory card and spare battery all in one hit but I know there's a lot of fakes on there.

Any tips on bartering people down and not being bartered down..? Generally watch eBay like a hawk all day refreshing a search for just "gopro" and keep your eyes peeled for things described wrong, or just people who don't know what they're worth. Easiest one is people selling black models as silvers because they're all silver in colour. I was doing the same in the UK too but they're even cheaper over here (means the selling price is less too though, hence trying to sell them on to the UK at competitive rates). Then when you get people all like "I'll just buy one from somewhere else for less" and get all mardy, you can sit smugly knowing that they won't because any genuine bargains are headed straight to your door

Jolfa
£250 for a 3+ Black with a few bits and bobs £225 for a 3 Black with some bits. Bits are usually things like selfie sticks, cases, mounts etc. Price is negotiable depending what you're after, nearly all 3/3+ blacks though, best bang for your buck

george_seamons
I have an SJ4000 wifi camera I was given as a gift at Xmas I could be persuaded to part with if the price was right. It was intended for using on trackdays...but seeing as I no longer do trackdays, it is rather defunct! Literally only been used to test, never even if the car, was just in my work van to see what it was like. Let me know if you're interested

JD™
It's a good job I don't want to steal them from you then... This is the outcome of a search in the 'Collectibles' category for 'Go Pro -stickers' (to cut out just one of the terms I'd end up faffing with to get a good outcome): http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_odkw=gopro&_osacat=1&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xgopro+-stickers.TRS0&_nkw=gopro+-stickers&_sacat=1 Add '&_rss=1' to the end and we get: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_odkw=gopro&_osacat=1&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xgopro+-stickers.TRS0&_nkw=gopro+-stickers&_sacat=1&_rss=1 Which can be used with the RSS trigger as I mentioned earlier. All you do then is create lots of trigger searches which all go to the same output. Personally I'd probably put them into a Google Docs file and alert myself once or twice a day to look at them and set my bids.

bikeperson45
I feel like the strength of Inspired fork might not be worth the hassle of trying to find a star but that fits, spent £20 trying to replace one over two weeks now...
Mark W
Sounds like a fun time - you could try the 'Medium' one from TartyBikes and just grind the tabs down a bit? It basically needs to be 3mm smaller in diameter so just giving it a buzz all the way round should take a bit off. It might be worth e-mailing them and asking if/when they're getting the small star nuts back in stock too as they fit in nicely.
AdamR28
Think we have some that went to TartyDays and need to go back in stock, give us a call tomorrow
bikeperson45
Don't have anything to grind it with, I've been using 1" ones and trying to prebend them before hammering but none of those times worked. I'll try the Tarty way, I'm just paying for impatience as it is Edit - timing Edited June 4, 2015 by bikeperson45
Jolfa
Don't have anything to grind it with How do you get through life without a grinder? Go and spend £10 at Argos, best tenner you'll ever spend!
