ManxTrialSpaz
Shit man, that sucks Hope they find it / the thief cripples himself falling off it! Got a phone call 30 minutes later from the police saying they've recovered it!! Fair play to local constabulary. Not too sure on the details yet, but I can only imagine they'd thrown it into a van and been pulled over on the way to Pikey HQ. I'm chuffed to say the least. Not too keen on the £120 recovery fee though. And the £20p/d charge. It turns out it wasn't cheaper to come back to uni on my bike

If I kidnap someone and demand money for her safe return, suddenly I'm the criminal. The world's gone mad.
ManxTrialSpaz
Well I've got it back. It looks like it's been through a coalmine and is covered in fingerprint powder, so I'll have to wash it before I can see if they've damaged the fairings. Aside from that, they've broken the steering lock and broken something on the rear brake as well, since the caliper's gone loose. I can see the mount that's been damaged, but I have no idea what's missing/broken that's caused it to become loose.

It definitely has! Sorry to hear about your bike C.U.N.T.S is all I say!
isitafox
Out with my wife's mates and their partners for a meal and a few drinks in the shittest pub this side of the Lamb And Flag......
ManxTrialSpaz
Cheeky motherf**kers tried it again tonight! I'd parked my bike right outside my flat 20 ft away from my lounge window and had put my bicycle D lock on the front wheel as well as having a disc lock on the back. I was waiting for my mate to get home so I could move the bike to his and off my road, so in the mean time I was behaving like the US Army's finest ranger and sat sentry in front of the window all evening. To my shame, I moved into the comfort of the sofa and out of eye line of my bike, but I heard a van ticking over at half 11, and stuck a head to the window to see a transit on the road with one pikey inside with the back doors open and two other c**ts trying their best to move my bike. Making like the finest of English gents, I ran out in my slippers and gave them my finest "Oi!" and I've never seen people scarper so quickly. I threw one guy to the floor which resulted in him dropping my bike and the other hopped in the van. I tried to get the number plate, but went to the wrong side of the van, and by the time I'd gone back to the other side, the fella I threw over had jumped into the back of the van and they started to drive off with the back doors open which resulted in me taking chase like the T1000 trying to get abreast of the van so I could see the number plate. I only got the first two characters unfortunately and got back to a bike with a now broken brake lever and stuck throttle The bike is now safe, and is in my friend's dining room and my dad's coming tomorrow with a van of our own. f**king pikey bastards.

ManxTrialSpaz
Get an almax! It used to live in the safety of an Isle of Man garage, so it didn't need anything to look after it. But considering that for 50% of the time it's been parked on the road in the UK it's almost been nicked I'm definitely going to get a more aggressive looking lock. Even if it means I have to take a 10kg chain everywhere I go!
forteh
Don't bother with any chain other than an almax, even if it's just a short one that will sit in a tailpack

Azarathal
Heart going crazy since 1am ish, full body shakes, headache, weakness etc. still felt shit so called 111 on my work break and explained, they said to go to A&E immediately and apart from my constant shaking/twitching and weird "I feel f**ked" sorta sinus' headache etc my hearts fine. ECG was normal and so was my pulse. Last night it was well over 100!
isitafox
Similar setup here, had to bring the youngest to a+e this morning and it turns out she's got bronchiolitis. With any luck we might be able to get home this afternoon and luckily managed to watch my two boys open their presents before we came. Gonna miss crimbo dinner which is a bummer but on the plus side I've still got all my presents to open!

isitafox
Well I ate the wifes hospital crimbo dinner and my daughter got a doll off Father Christmas when he visited the wards, a book and soft toy off the local firefighters who came round with a load of sacks full of presents and we got a selection box! Looks like we might be able to go home shortly with any luck!
isitafox
Never made it home this afternoon, wife is still at hospital with the smallest one and I finally got home at half 9.
Azarathal
Not good at all man, hope it's all good! I had bronchitis when I was in primary school, all I can remember if my phlegm looked like alge. Hearts going mad again, feeling weak, head/eyes are killing me and I keep falling asleep randomly. Had some weird headf**k thing happen during the Christmas meal which kinda ruined it for me and now I'm trying to convince my parents to let me sleep rather than drag me back to A&E I got some amazing presents though
Paperclip
Local town is hectic today with driver's and shoppers. Just been waiting at a pretty hard junction to get out of on a good day with a car in front of me. Had a gap for two of us to get out of checked he was going then followed him out and glanced over my shoulder on my way out then boom right into the back of him. Turned out he got cut up but someone coming into our lane and unfortunately got me off guard within that split second I couldn't get to the brake in time. Absolutely sickening! The only positive's are that we wasn't going fast, no one got hurt and he was really cool about it (not much damage to his car). We agreed that he would take his motor into the garage and get it checked over and see what the damage is. I feel a little better about that but still pretty bummed out over it. I just want to go ride my bike! Screw Christmas it's shit!
Ali C
That sucks Luke I've had an interesting family development which ended with me spending Christmas Day sat in my room not speaking to my parents. Today I am bored out of my mind, I just really want to drive home
Paperclip
It does suck the initial being pissed off with myself has gone now, I'll just wait and see what happens. You just never know with people he seemed cool at the time but could turn around and be totally different when the thought of a claim springs to mind. Hope you cheer up cat man! Hope your parents sort out their disputes
bing
I hate Christmas. There is nothing about it that is remotely appealing. If I didn't have my lad, I wouldn't even bother. Seriously cannot be bothered with any of it at all. Just full of grief and arguments, and general falseness and bollocks

Paperclip
So many times I've nearly done that, checked quickly and then for some reason the car in front has stopped while I was looking away... Yeah today I was just not fast enough to react I was so sure he had gone with the way he pulled out, I was annoyed at myself because I wouldn't usually try and rush out of that junction but the traffic today got the better of me. Awaiting him going to the garage and letting me know whats what, at this stage I don't know if he's going to just be cool and say right it's fine or it needs £x amount spending on it (which I would be cool with) or him be totally different and try take the piss. It's just this whole I now have to wait for him to get back to me so until then it's in the back of my mind. Related: I had cracked my bumper previously where it has been smoothed out and it's booked to go in to get that sorted out so today it's just opened that up slightly more but it's going to get sorted out soon anyway. I'd have been more pissed at getting my bumper sorted then re-cracking it.
