Mark W
According to your profile you're 22, right? If so, I wouldn't get too stressed about that now. If you think about it, chances are you'll be working for the next 40 or so years so you've got plenty of time to get balls deep in a career. Just try and enjoy the time you've got now while you're young and have comparatively few responsibilities

craigjames
My main issue is I'm running out of money very quickly! Plus I'm kinda getting bored of doing temp. work, I want to use my degree for something! I know it seems like you need to get into a career that relates to your degree ASAP, but it's all tosh. As Mark said there is no rush, I didn't really have any idea what I wanted to do as a career until I fell into the job I have now. That was at 23 (night on 24) and required 3 years of training. Something will come along soon enough. What sort of area did you want to get into? On a different note i'm getting fed up of my hands getting shredded up every time I ride. I suffer with blisters very badly; tried gloves, climbing tape, chalk etc. make sod all difference. As soon as I start to develop calluses they just rip away and either get blood blisters underneath or just rip off. Just makes riding painful and awkward.
Mark W
Maybe try experimenting with different thickness grips? Everyone's hands are different sizes, and it could just be that for certain thickness grips your hands don't really work too well? I found I tended to actually get blisters more with certain types of foam grips. The French-ID ones I used to use seemed to just act like sandpaper after I'd been sweating into them a bit, and made blisters/callouses way worse. As soon as I switched to my current grips that all stopped. Rich - that's a fair one about money and I know how worrying about that sort of stuff can kind of cloud how you view everything, but as Craig said, career-wise you've still got an absolute shitload of time. Just try and be frugal for now (and maybe see if you can do any extra work over winter so you can get saving while the weather's shit...) and get more of a plan about what you'd like to do. To me it seems better to just chill out a bit now and work out what you think you'd like to do, rather than getting onto the first rungs of the career ladder then finding out in a decade that it's not really what you enjoy doing but you've been railroading yourself into it the whole time.
Tony Harrison
It's amazing how little money we really need to live anyway. One of the biggest mistakes people can make is tying their own lives down too soon.

MadManMike
Just been out to swap my crappy old stereo for a new one in the Eunos and the previous owner has done a Frankenstein on it and made some kind of wiring monster. Needless to say there's no adaptors in the world that will fix this mess... Cut & crimp it is then
dann2707
Crimping is good! Pics?
MadManMike
Crimping is a pain in the arse, when all I need is a simple adapter and it'll just work... So, ignore the bottom left connector, all I need is a converter so I can plug in the right hand connector and it'll convert it to my Sony connector, top left. dann2707
Car insurance can f**k right off. Literally the biggest con in the whole world. Not that insurance is a joke, just how the prices ridiculously fluctuate, and by fluctuate I mean go up. Go back to my prices on moneysupermarket. My £595 quote has now gone up to £725. No details changed at all, just me simply clicking refresh prices for that quote. I literally have no idea how they can get away with it. Daylight robbery, no other phrase for it. Absolute joke, i'm fuming and tired. Not what I need right now. Edited September 10, 2014 by dann2707

dann2707
They're all more expensive for me. Always have been. Was ringing them all through the day and none could even come close to my online quotes. A few of them laughed too haha Managed to find the old quote in the end after hours of trying to reenter my quote reference number.
Tom Booth
Everytime you click refresh on insurance comparison sites it's another mark on the cars HPI history, generally these just go down as 'enquiry' or something, but enough of them can raise interest/suspicion. When I bought my old polo I had that HPI'd and the list was 2pages long ha. All was just insurance related though but was quite daunting on first glance. Ben Cox
Split up with my girlfriend of 3 years last night. Not really angry, just a bit bummed out to be honest. It was a very amicable break, both of our lives are heading in different directions, nether of us were happy and felt like we were holding the other back. Gotta find somewhere to live now and pack all of my shit. Ben

MadManMike
Sorry to hear that dude, good in a way though if you were both unhappy. You'll most likely look back and realise it was for the best. Chin up pal!
isitafox
Got to write an email application for a job position by tomorrow and I'm absolutely useless at stuff like this. Got 3 subjects I've got to cover in under 100 words for each one of which I've got to pretty much lie and the other two are essentially the same question??!! This shit makes my brain hurt! Greetings
Almost sold the M5 today. Almost, because it packed up after we agreed to head to my place and sign all the documents. That said the timing could have been worse but why did it have to break down in the first place when it's been trouble free since I've had it ? Although the benefit is that it didn't break down on his way home as he'd probably come knocking on your door asking for a refund.
