after nearly 3 years of on and off, spending countless money, I just realised that I do not have time for trials,

I will give it a go at college, as I could ride in Belfast, but as secondary hobby, school and the competition... I am not sure if I can/want to make time for trials.

Lots of stressy things in my life at the moment has resulted in me going away a lot and going for big rides on my bike, and I've used £225 of fuel on a month, which is at least 3 times as much as I usually spend. (It does 50mpg and I walk to work, so £225 is a lot).

Couldn't be arsed to ride :( Haven't been on my bike for close to 7 weeks now. A definite "never thought this would ever happen" moment was 2 weeks ago when me and my missus went to a mountain resort I visit every year since 2005 with the best riding spots in the country. Was there for a week, didn't take the bike out from the car. Instead went sightseeing and the best memories I have from that week of riding is getting the munchies and going to an epic restaurant every day.

Maybe a change in the bike could help, I've been riding the same frame for over 3 years now. Thinking about an Ozonis Cannibal, lower bb could be more interesting. Still got a month of riding left till it gets cold...

The next round of "ooh look my kid is so amazing" posts are appearing on Facebook, as all the little shitlings are starting school.

Seen two mothers now posting publically about how proud they are that their offspring had a whole entire day without pissing themselves. Not sure how that's something to be proud of personally...

I'm glad I'm not the only one subjected to this shit. What amazes me is besides that natural (I imagine) sense of proudness/love for your child, why is it new parents think that everyone else (many of whom have no link or affiliation to the child) share their wonderment?

In the same sense I couldn't give a flying f**k how shiny someone has managed to polish the front wing on their moneypit of a car or which nightclub someone went to the night before or which football team just won/lost/etc but it doesn't fill me with rage I just ignore it.

I've not put any pictures of my lad up, its nowt new, he's into his 3rd year now. My car is a shitbox not worth posting up, and I can't ride a bike long enough to film a clip without crashing. Is that ok for you Dave?

Although scum united getting beaten 4-0 by mk dons was a source of great amusement

Not at all, it was pretty handy 10 years ago when there weren't really any alternatives :P

Haha, Facebook newsfeed is just a big scroll of social cancer. I only use the chat system really, and only thing on newsfeed I like is the top quality memes from my friends
