The Angry Thread.

In other news, I'm actually beginning to get angered about my apparent lack of character judgement. I had no idea so many of my 'friends' were stupid enough to like wrestling. Sad that a guy who liked to dress in spandex has died and whatnot, but there's some full on fans of pretend fighting coming up on my various feeds :(

I have to agree. I can even remember when I was about 6 or 7, thinking, wrestling is pretty gay....Along with Power Rangers.

I never watched it when it was originally on but have seen clips in recent years (as my girlfriend used to like it when she was young) but as a form of entertainment I think it's a-ok. Macho Man was an artist in his delivery and had his character down. The Ultimate Warrior seemed crazy and I like that - most people on TV these days seem either excruciatingly common or very sane. I don't have any nostalgia for it, and to be fair it's the interviews I like (the Slickster being a personal favourite) and I guess in the 80's that was about as much fun as you could have watching TV.

Bit of fun ent it. Like a real-life superhero. Imagine if Batman died….

But he can't, because he's not real. Much like these characters.

I'd rather mourn James Hellwig than 'Warrior', same as I'm more likely to mourn Brad Pitt than Tyler Durden, even though it's the character I love and not the actor. The character lives forever in both cases, the bag of bones and muscle and whatnot that portrays them is not so lucky.

I sit somewhere in the middle... Yes it's scripted, but so is all telly. Scripting makes things better.

To say it's not "real" or it's "fake" is total horse shit though. It's scripted to a degree but there's no CGI, a lot of these guys can lift a 250lb bloke above their heads and throw him out of the ring. That is cool as f**k, and not faked in the slightest, it's just staged/scripted.

If you want real fighting then go watch MMA, which personally I hate as it tends to be 30mins of dancing about, then one of of kills the other in a flash and it's all over.

Wrestling is to martial arts as Top Gear is to car stuff.

Wrestling was good back in the late 80's/early 90's when they used to actually have characters but now it's crap. I think that is why wrestlers like Ultimate Warrior and Macho Man a missed so much when they pass. It may have been far fetched but it was entertaining.

I've never been able to do either.

I've just found out that Red Bull is a fizzy drink. I always thought it was a Formula 1 team/extreme sports brand (and that makes me angry.)

Are you being serious?! You're 30 too!! They've over advertised themselves hahahah

Not even words can describe how much I hate my mother f**king stepmom! It's seriously the only person I totally HATE. She can rot in hell

So your stepmum is f**king your mother and your father? Impressive.

Yeah, completely. I don't go in for fizzy drinks so have never seen it in the shops. It was only today in a bar when I saw somebody order a 'vodka red bull' and searched for it on Google I realised my complete ignorance!

I got told I was stupid for not knowing that Australia has summer when we have winter last year.

Also a funny one, near where I live when I drive to Uni, I drive past a sign pointing down this road that says "Thorpe Park" and I ALWAYYYYYYSSSSSS wondered why the hell it was pointing to Thorpe Park theme park all the way up in bloody Leeds. But for 5 years I just took it on board and didn't think anything of it.

Turns out Thorpe Park is one of those industrial work estates near where I live. What's more embarrassing is that my sister works there and I didn't put the pieces together haha.
