JD™
Those of you who are friends with me on Facebook will have been bored to tears with this over the last couple of weeks, but I figured that I'd put something up here now that I've finished my brakeless project. Forgive the shocking quality of most of the pics, there isn't a whole lot of light in my garage and it was generally late and I was generally tired! Here we go though, here's how this bike started off: Ming. So I got my dremel, file and some elbow grease and got rid of some of the parts I wasn't going to need: Which made it ready for a lick of paint. Haven't seen much grey around on bikes for years so I thought I'd crack some out: Next up was the rims and forks. The forks had also had the disc mount cut off: Then it was time to get a bit anal and do the spokes, bashring and topcap. Lucy (Miss-Higgy) had made me up some stickers so it was time to put them on. Seriously people, if you need stickers give her a shout - super quick turn around and great quality. She's just set up a Facebook page which you should go like too: https://www.facebook.com/Indiprint Which left me, late last night, with this: I like it Edited August 22, 2013 by JD™

monkeyseemonkeydo
Is nice! I would've been tempted to go for black or white rims and bash but it looks good- definitely stands out from the crowd .

Jake.
Holy shit that turned out way better than I expected! Best zoot I've ever seen and it's up there with the best looking trials bikes.
JD™
Cheers guys! Dave, it had to have orange on it otherwise the universe would collapse...
Bigman
Looks great, but cutting brake mounts off some £150 forks is just mental! Adam
JD™
Commitment and ting, innit? I definitely considered not taking the mounts off the forks but figured that I'm probably not going to ever sell them anyway so it's all good. Bought them 2nd hand anyway, and got another bike on the way for brakes so it's all good I reckon.
ben_travis
you did all that dremmelling on the bike...and you didnt remove the onza logo off the headtube.... just think of the marketing location you have missed out on!! bike looks sweet though. Reminds me of the curtis grey
N.Wood
Looks great! I HATE this whole brakeless thing (sorry everyone) but it does make the bike look cleaner. Good colour choice too Did the paint scrape off the spokes when you put them through the hub flange?

Not so much when going through the flange, but more when actually lacing the wheels. I knew it was going to happen whether I was careful or not so I chose not to be, and just buy some white nail varnish instead

Rusevelt
Guys at Onza could learn a thing or about how to make their bikes looks this good.
Jake.
Guys at Onza could learn a thing or about how to make their bikes looks this good. I agree, most onza bikes seem to have the most hideous colour schemes ever.
showurcolours
That bike looks the shiznaaay! Great job to be honest, also those stickers are pretty awesome. Might have to invest I agree, most onza bikes seem to have the most hideous colour schemes ever. Indeed, you only gotta look at mine, their graphics/stickers look soo bad! I'm still deciding what colour I want mine, either way the white bars are staying!
dann2707
Not a fan of the orange bash, think it ruins it but other than that, that is one sexy looking mofo. Nice one mate!
JD™
Not a fan of the orange bash, think it ruins it but other than that, that is one sexy looking mofo. Nice one mate! I did wonder whether that was a step too far. I was originally just going to do the middle bit orange and spray the lip black, but I didn't buy any black paint and just went with this. I like it, but I've got another bash in the spares box anyway so I might try the other way as well. Hopefully riding it properly on Saturday so looking forward to that - it's currently with me in my office screaming at me to do some spins on the way home, so I'll happily oblige. CalopS
I'd probably go with a silver bash too but that's just been picky. Looks great JD That white Inspired saddle your trying to sell would go nice with the white stickers too I love this whole brakeless thing (sorry everyone)

showurcolours
noooo, orange bash looks ace! I'm with Ali on this, orange bash sets it off. Out of interest, where'd you source the paint from JD? Just looks like decent quality stuff and eventually I'll stop farcing about and pick a colour and get round to doing mine

Less expensive than Halfords, and goes on much nicer. I didn't even go through a whole can of gray so I've got shit tons left.
showurcolours
Will check them out as well, yeah I noticed it's pretty decent quality. It's a mission to find decent spraypaint to be honest. Just looked now, did you use the varnish?
