BradJohnson
I'm no expert in grease, but i'm pretty sure grease all does the same job. i usually use lithium grease. If your in doubt use a bit of vaseline.

Jon Alty
Coppaslip (copper grease) is the best thing to use for that type of application. It's an anti-corrosive grease thats designed to stop things corroding together and getting ceased. That's exactly why you want to grease threads so yes, definitely copper! For bearings etc coppaslip isnt the best application, as the grease is there to help moving parts move, and that's not what it's designed for, but as above, grease is grease really and all grease will do an alright job for all applications. SamKidney
Aye copperslip isnt what you want to use for bearings! It has tiny bits of copper in it, which for items such as threads or two flat surfaces stops them seizing together, but is like putting sand in your bearings. They will slowly be ground down by the copper, resulting in dead bearings. We only use copperslip on items at work such as a cars carrier pins, carrier/calliper surface interfaces and the pads backings where the pison sits. Anything thats under constant rotation is lubricated with a heavy weight silicone/teflon based grease or heavy weight oils. On my bike, copperslip is used on my bolts threads, and my bearings lubricated with teflon grease.
