Rockman
Alright.. Got an Echo Pure 2011 custom build, basically after riding mod for a few weeks, the stock feels really heavy and unresponsive to ride. My front end is set up pretty stupid but is roughly the same height as a Try-all K2 stem and 20mm of spacers. Will be getting the K2 stem when it's in stock. But anyone got any ideas how to make it feel lighter and more flickier? It weighs about 9.2kg just now and is a solid build. isitafox
It'll just take a bit of getting used to. I rode stock for years and changed to 24 earlier this year. Rode a mates Pure last month and it literally felt like a tank as I just wasn't used to the big wheels. Was after riding a comp on a mod as well which didn't help things. Martin Reynolds
What gear ratio you running? i found that changing to 18-16 made mine feel alot lighter/flickier
Andeee
Hit the gym... I've found riding trials and mixing gym workouts just seems to mess things up.
N.Wood
This is what it feels like when you ride a man's bike.
Rockman
I rode it for the first 3 years of trials, now I have both and just find mod a but funner too ride, used to go massive on the stock, so tried it out again. I'll get the K2 stem, probably swap to Try-all carbon bars so they are a bit wider than the Rock carbon bars. Thanks Shane

Andeee
Its true take Kenny Belaey for example. From what i heard he wanted to go to the gym to get stronger and to try help with his riding and within the years difference it seemed to of affected his performance alot in terms of lagging so basically he did not do as well in comps. Great, now look at everyone else at that level...Almost everyone DOES workout and they are going bigger every year. Working out does help your riding if you don´t focus too much on one of those activities.
Andeee
Also Damon W for example. He did a lot of weight training and managed to destroy his knee from squats which means he can't ride anymore due to a serious knee problem he has. Yeah he was still going stupidly big during which is good but there is just risks in anything that you do. Mind you i saw a clip the other week of him having ago on someones onza zoot. Still bossing it! Just a shame about his injury and not being able to ride to a serious level. Edited November 19, 2012 by Andeee

Rockman
If I had to get a 24" it'd have to be dual disc, and there isn't any Echo priced ones, and this is too good of a spec to sell for nothing haha.
SamKidney
As has been said, just a case of getting used to it again. Im after another Ozonys Curve or a Limey 4. Seemed to ride flicky enough and light feeling. And regarding gym/riding, too much of one and too little of the other wont do you any favors. Balance them out as evenly as you can and your sorted. If the elite riders didnt train in the gym Id say they would be no where near as powerfull and high ranked as they are.
