Where Is This Bike Park?

get the train from London to Chelmsford, and it's a 3 mile drive from Chelmsford to barrow farm. should be much more than a tenner for a taxi. I'm sure mick and Maria or jack would do the honourable thing seen as you have travelled from Spain to ride

Its a bit of a waste going to a bike park in the uk when you have three in barca to play on.

Might as well take advantage of the unique street spots we have in the uk.

We had 3 bike parks here, and there was one in barca. Would you not want want to try out the barca one? I would...

I would but I live in Leeds. I've never been to barrow farm.

Where as G presumably goes to bike parks more often so I see it as a bit of a waste of a day going to barrow farm.

but that's up to him, It's only my opinion (Y)

A waste of a day?? Hmmm..

Ride all day at a designated place made for trials?? or ride around a big city..find a wall..ride it for 20 mins, then ride a mile down the road to the next wall..??

Not all trials parks are the same lol.

Nothing against barrow farm as I enjoyed it when I was there, but the way you described street sounds pretty fun to me, except replace "wall" with "really cool random shit" (cos London's architecture is pretty nuts). Riding to and from locations is all part of the fun of riding. Plus there is the finding a way to get over something that wasn't designed to be ridden that I find really appealing. Trials parks are "designed" to be ridden, but the problem solving of riding street just can't be beaten (Natural is pretty close though).

I do see both of your points though, it's like when I see videos of BMX park riders who travel abroad just to ride an indoor skatepark.......what's the point in that? ramps are all pretty much the same (just different layouts, but a fair on a quarter is still a flair on a quarter) You don't get to see the local way of life, see the sights, smell the smells and find new things to ride like you do when street riding. On the other hand, trials parks are not quite as predictable as skateparks, so they can offer a different experience from other trials parks.
