Shark
I've a mod but I'm thinking a new bike. I just can't choose between a mod and an Inspired. I really like Danny Mac's style, manuals, bunnyhopping and etc. so an Inspired would be a good decision. But on the other hand the best riding spots around here are rocks and other kind of natural stuff. That's why a new mod would be nice. I don't have any idea what I really want. If I get an Inspired, will it feel really heavy because im used to a mod? Right now a mod feels fine but could a 24" be even better? I need some advice. Kevinfor
First of all, you could still ride an inspired on natural stuff, and you can do most of the things Danny does on a mod. Altough neither will be as good as the "proper" bike for that style. Weight wise it depends on how much your bike weigh now, a fourplay only weigh around 11 kg which is close to a low level mod. Wait for more replys though I am fairly new to trails. Good luck! Kevin.
AlexR
I want to buy a trial bike but i don't know too much about it. I don't even know the differences between 20' , 24' , 26'. If i understand from some post I red depend on the place? That you will ride? So for a completely new with trial for natural and city stuffs what is the better choice? Ps 1.Sorry for my English I used to be a downhill rider so I’m not too new on bicycle ride if this can affect the choice. Thanks a lot
williams
I haven't ridden a inspired but the guys I ride with coming from a "pure trials" background says that inspired feels soooo heavy, might take a while to get used to it though. You can ride pure trials with inspireds too but it would probably be quite hard. Why don't you keep your mod and buy a inspired too so you can switch? Well 20" bikes are generally easier to move around and feels really stable on the backwheel, we all call them quite "flicky". Pretty much the same thing for 26" but they're a bit bigger, they both have their pros and cons. Both types of bikes here are more designed for more "jumps only". Here is a video example: WHERE you wan't to ride your bike totally depends on you, I only ride my 20" on the street and in cities. 24" bikes are more designed for tricks and trials, like a mix of bmx and trials if that makes sence? You might have seen Danny Macaskill, he's a perfect example of 24" a rider, we call this riding style "street trials". Video example: So you need to decide what style you wan't to ride and I'll help you out:)
