BradJohnson
So as the weathers getting a little on the chilly side i guess i better get the good old maggy bled with some anti-freeze. I bleed my brake in the sink with a water bleed how much anti-freeze should i add to around 4L of water.
Rob Leech
It should give you the ratio on the bottle .
Jake.
I've always read online that it is around 50/50 and 25/75...

BradJohnson
Hmm 2L of anti-freeze is a hell of a lot Jake. I'll pop down stairs to to motor department while i'm working tomorrow and see what the bottle says Thanks for that Josh.
Blake
if 2L is a lot use less water can't you use pure antifreeze?

Mix the two in a small bowl and use a syringe? if 2L is a lot use less water can't you use pure antifreeze? I heard antifreeze on its own ruins the brake? BradJohnson
I've always wondered what a pure GT85 bleed would do.... It's cant really eat the seals cause its an actual lube what coats everthing in PTFE (silicone) Unlike WD40 which is just a water disperser. AdamR28
Anything from about 30% antifreeze and upwards about will be fine. You could always bleed with a syringe, then you don't need to fill a sink? WD40 bleed works alright, GT85 doesn't (tried both).
Maxx
Isn't antifreeze as fluid as water ? I personnally always use coolant liquid (those for cars), it's always worked great for me.
J.KYDD
I go 50/50 for antifreeze bleeds

Maxx
Pretty much. Yep, same thing. So what's the interest of doing 50/50 water-antifreeze bleed instead of 100% antifreeze ?
Alex Dark
Cheaper?
