cai
I'm looking to get a new stock frame pretty soon but i would like to know what are the advantages of having a high bb? Or what to look for in a frame to help keep it sat on its rear tyre? A higher BB improves clearance, and makes the bike easier to balance whilst on the back wheel - but it makes most rolling moves like taps and bunny hops much harder, which is why people run such high front ends to 'compensate'. If you want your bike more rear wheel friendly I would suggest going for a frame with a shorter chain stay length. I find that shorter chain stays contribute in a similar way to a high BB in terms of back wheel ability, but they don't hamper rolling moves Your Zoo! is probably 385mm CSL. A 26" frame with 380/375mm CSL would be an improvement, but you'd have to switch to 24" to reap the benefits of 360mm chain stays..
