CalRobbo341
Surprised there isnt one of these threads yet, I guess I will start off Just got my tires, casually fitting them and my tube valve falls off, literally. Good thing I had a spare! Then I goto discover that the front rim has a masssssive dent in it, I havent ridden a few weeks, and surprised I hadnt seen it earlier! Gutted, now to get a new front wheel!
Ben Gosden
Within two weeks both of the following images happened . I'd been expecting the stem for a while but the handlebars caught me by surprise.

CalRobbo341
Some nasty's there. Do you think I could temporary fix the rim? Like bend it with plyers, or perhaps even heat it and bend it?
SamKidney
I used to grab the bent section with an adjustable wrench and bend it back that way.
bike_dummie
If it is causing problems you could bend it out with a set of mole grips but only if it causes problems as it is possible to ruin the rim. Heating isn't necessary
Danny00135
Some nasty's there. Do you think I could temporary fix the rim? Like bend it with plyers, or perhaps even heat it and bend it? Put a couple of plates either side and take to it with an adjustable spanner Or if you don't have the plates just do it without (plates are a slight precaution)
T-Limburn
that rim has loads of life left in it!
CalRobbo341
Haha looks like I am getting the tools out tonight, I want to bend it back just in case it punctures the tyre, just put it on, ie brand new. Cheers guys!

Revolver
They had served me for quite some time but the stem and been cracked for ages. eerr well the handlebars happened on a group ride one day luckily enough i was just lifting to my rear wheel so i literally just fell on my arse but that was weird as the bars never showed any signs of them weakening or anything and then the stem was after i put some spare bars on i gaped to front and it snapped, that one was quite painfull but like i said they served me for along time. Good job I find people quoting pictures annoying, so when you managed to quote those twice, I found it ridiculous.
