Liamd-24
Hey Well basically just starting trials and I'm building up a bike with minimum money Iv been looking for 2 cheap 26 wheels but can't find any cheap wheel sets So I was just wondering if would a cheap Shimano? Hub would be okay? Then just get a rim and build it myself or do I need to get something amazing? And also could I just buy mtb cranks and leave the 22t chainring on it? And this may be a stupid question by what are the holes in rims for? Thanks

Thanks You could probably get away with a cheapish Shimano on the front for a while, the STX-RC hub I had years ago is still going strong! Yes you could just buy MTB cranks but I wouldn't recommend unless you're gonna get a Hope Pro 2 rear hub which will be expensive. Will be far cheaper to pickup a 2nd hand set of trials cranks, FFW like a Tensile and a fixed rear hub. Let me have a scan of the For Sale section and see what's about. How much have you got to spend??
Liamd-24
I literally have £20 at the moment but should be getting more soon I don't want to spend loads though And I'm not sure what the spacing is on my frame
isitafox
I'd guess it's 135mm with it being an 04 (assuming it's the Echo frame you have for sale you're building) but it's easy enough to check with a tape measure or ruler between the dropouts. Liamd-24
Yea that's the frame I think I'm just going to get cheap Shimano hubs for the moment because I don't want to spend loads and then find out I don't like it :/ Then if I do like it ill just upgrade Plus most new frames are 116 spacing now aren't they? I was hoping to get disk mount on the front Thanks for the help
