Iride4fun
I want to get a trials bike... I dont know which size or bike is best but im leaning towards the inspired element or the onza genisis, im a good bmx er and ive experimented with things like back hops which ive gotten quite good at and i find bmxing is getting a little old. Im planning on purchasing a good trials bike but i dont know which wheel size is right for me ive heard that 24 rides alot like a bmx but i do all my big jums on and of things more off to the side and im pretty sucessful with the side hops on my bmx so would a 20' be more comfortable? Please answer im very confused onza genisis 20' or inspired element24'?
shercofray
They are very different bikes, are you wanting to still be flowy and streety like you are on the bmx? As the inspired is more suited to this type of riding, however if you are wanting to ride trials - sidehops, gaps etc then the genisis is more suited.Mods - this needs moving..

I want to be able to jump sround on the back wheel and be able to climb obstacles?... also what would feel more familiar to me coming from a bmx background? Yes just generally uses slightly different styles. And the inspired would feel a lot more familiar.

JoNnY__Mc
All depends what kind of videos have influenced you to make the move to trials. I would actually recommend the Onza as it will be easier to learn the different techniques and back wheel control. Having said that it also depends on your age, weight and height in order to provide better advice as to whether you would be suited to a 20". Coming from a bmx background could be another reason for you to go for a 20" wheeled bike.
J.KYDD
I too recommend the Onza. You want to move to trials or trials influenced riding. The best bike to learn this riding on is a 20", techniques are picked up faster and they are very 'flicky'. Learn to ride TRIALS first - there is nothing worse than seeing someone on an Inspired who can manual, spin and tailwhip well, but look like a spastic when back hopping or doing a gap.

Mark W
You can kiss goodbye to barspins if you're getting a trials bike... 3 people have barspinned my bike so far. Unfortunately I'm not one of them They're definitely do-able though as long as you've got suitable long cables. Coming from a bmx background could be another reason for you to go for a 20" wheeled bike. For me I found it easier switching between my BMX and my 24 as the handling and the way the bike rolls is much more familiar. Switching from my BMX to a mod sucked - they're completely alien.

Mark W
I'm sure if I roll the bars forwards enough it'll be alright The Clan's dirt jump rider last year hop barspinned Ali's Hex which must've been effort...
