the mysterious leemur
So this piece of metal , the rear part of the bash plate mount shown here http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/20_inch_frames/echo_lite_2011_with_bb/c36p11474.html Just wondering if this will weaken the frame considerably , I would guess it would make it a bit more flexy? CalRobbo341
Not reall worth it on the Lite's, there's not that much material there, I guess you could grind it down and failing that a harsh file.

the mysterious leemur
Get some muscle. Gaylight is not an option. I'm 14 , 5'8 and 147 pounds. I work out a fair bit and in my opinion am in pretty decent shape. I have a spare frame lying around I want to experiment with , my normal ride is 10.5Kg. J.KYDD
If you grind it off and finish it with a file you won't affect any strength. It will affect the bikes weight on the scales, but won't feel any lighter to ride as its so central. I'd still do it if I were you, just be careful
