Topsy
It's just around freezing point here and I wondered if I could thin my PhatPhluid leftovers from last year with some water? Anyone tried? Would it mix? I'd probably only need to add about 1/4 to have enough again... Thanks btw, We haven't got any anti-freeze handy at the moment.. Revolver
Phluid isn't oil, I think it's a water-based emulsion. If it's water based, you could add water, but at the penalty of a reduction in its resistance to freezing. I can't find their site to check.
Topsy
The site seems to be down.. Wasn't sure on what it was based anymore, but if it's water I'll give it a try tomorrow
Revolver
I think maybe you can check by putting it in a bottle, or a syringe maybe, with no air in it, and trying to float it in water. If it's got no water in it - oil based - it'll float. If it sinks like a brick it's made up of water and heavier than water stuff. That's the only way I can figure to check without reading it anywhere.
Mark W
I'm pretty sure it's water based...
Laurence--Trials
what would happen if you used it in something that would usually require DOT oil?

AdamR28
Tap water + antifreeze from your local car dealer = all you need. Or even neat antifreeze. It has anti corrosive and lubricational properties. Edit: Obviously that's not a professional recommendation
