Winter Riding Gear!

I'm going for a thermal compression suit. I like them, they work, and I can still wear shorts.

I didn't know who Nick Manning was so I googled the name... I take it you're not the american pornstar that came up?

He is 100% that guy.

;)

I'll look forward to seeing a video of it. It'll be funny watching a big man like yourself crying.

About posting crap - isn't it your favorite pastime?

You've seen snow only on pictures? In -40°C with sufficient physical activity you can't get chilblain. It's even warm if not windy, lol. I think if you were living in my city - you would not ride and cried each day.

On the once or twice I'll manage to get out through the proper cold of the winter I'll definitely be wearing a base layer top and skins, but they'll be underneath whatever I would normally ride in so people don't really notice. Best of both worlds. I only bother because I've always suffered really badly from the cold, so it's better to be comfortable that way.

Oh, and whoever said they feel like they sweat less when they're wearing this stuff, it's because lycra/compression/base layers are almost all designed around having a wicking property - this moves the sweat away from your body to the outside of the garment so you feel drier. It also helps you to regulate your heat better.

Posting crap is my second favourite pastime, the first being riding trials. How do you know about my fetish for snow pictures?

Winter calls for my lycra to come out the drawers.

Compression tights and t-shirt - although these are only worn externally when on Dartmoor etc. If riding street then that shit stays hidden under trackies!

Compression top is always worn under a t-shirt, they look awful on their own.

Im a massive tart when It comes to the cold so started using baselayers a week or so ago.use them for pushbike and motorbike

I currently use - http://www.baselayer.co.uk/Men-s-Under-Armour-ColdGear-Long-Sleeve-Compression-Mock-0512--Dark-Rifle-Green-product-39-72

and http://www.baselayer.co.uk/Under-Armour-Men-s-ColdGear-Evo-Core-Vent-Compression-Leggings-1100727-1221716--Black-product-332-72

Usually under trackies and T shirt/hoody.

Work really well, I find they benifit me more inbetween riding when I stop for a drink/chat for 5 min I dont cool down as quick and my muscles stay working in tip top shape. I usually keep them on for an hour or so after I top riding to.

Highly recomended!
