trials owns
Yo Everyone, Just double checking, My hs33's are blead with water at the moment, Seeing as i Dont fancy frozen brakes this winter im gonna change the bleed to oil via syringe. Can i just open up the system and syringe the oil through and push out the water? Without the water currently in there affecting anything? Done syringe bleeds yonks ago so i know how its done
Blake
yeah, but it may help if you put 2 syringes of oil through it, just to flush it out of all the water Need to do the oil or anti freeze thing soon, gaah.

ClarkeHutchison
Thats just reminded me to bleed mine aswell, bollocks You should use antifreeze and water so your break still feels better than oil.

Revolver
Bad English, bad English everywhere... Personally I'd empty the brake of water first. If you have two syringes and bleed pipes you can do a super-pro bleed where you put oil in the top and push, and pull the bottom to extract the water. You should do it this way (oil at the top) because as we all know, oil floats on water so it won't mix, it'll just sit. Then you can be reasonably confident it's empty of water. You need to do it a few times though.
