Danny00135
So my mates got this band together who're pretty awesome, just trying to get them some more fans (they don't know i'm doing this...) http://www.facebook.com/BackstabBurial they shocked me when I first heard them, considering they're only 16 I'd say they achieved quite highly. Jake.
I was expecting shite, I usually listen to rock but I veer away from heavy metal like Bring Me The Horizon etc, really like them. And they're not being copyfags like most new bands are, I respect that. Can't believe they're 16? Excellent lyrics video too. Muel
They're seriously good for such a young band. Do they ever play Sheffield? I'd go see them.

The lead guitarist just said it made his day... then said "i'm 15" They're seriously good for such a young band. Do they ever play Sheffield? I'd go see them. He said they'll be playing Sheffield next year on tour so keep a look out

Muel
I've liked them on Facebook, so hopefully I'll be reminded. I'll try to get a few mates there too.
weirdoku
Not bad, but imo pretty similar to a lot of the other young bands out there with this sort of style.
Danny00135
Not bad, but imo pretty similar to a lot of the other young bands out there with this sort of style. To be fair to them it is hard to do, I can't write anything that sounds new or "different". I just resort to whacking into drop C and copying other styles :/ It's not very often that you develop something different, which is why it's so hard these days, since where the hell are we meant to go with it now? then again look at dance music these days, thats practically all the same.. It's the reason why bands like pink floyd, the jimmy hendrix experience, santana, slayer.. made it so big, because they were talented enough to come up with something different. Although it does sound similar to a lot of new bands out there, it has the edge that others don't, and the fact they're only 15/16 makes it even more outstanding, give them a few more years and they'll definitely have a new style of music, I have high hopes for this band, get your autographs now.. could get a few bob on ebay for them one day
JDâ„¢
There's plenty of creative and new music out there, you just have to look hard enough.
omgnoseat
I don't really like the clean's, they sound too whiney. But it's pretty nice otherwise
Muel
There's plenty of creative and new music out there, you just have to look hard enough. No you don't, because these days whenever someone semi-decent pops up, they get shared across the interwebs.
Revolver
Pretty good, I'd prefer if the guitar was a bit louder in the mastering, maybe a little more high end in terms of equalisation. Lame name, though.
weirdoku
Not trying to be a party pooper but their age doesn't really give them an edge, it's not like their drum/guitar/bass/vocals are anything special, yeah they are young but there's lots of bands out there around their age. I'm sure they will be better over time though.

I'm sure they will be better over time though. Age does give an edge. If they're good now they can get very good by 20? If age doesn't give an edge then why do the judges on singing shows always seem more impressed by under 16s with good vocals?
Luke Dunstan
Fair play for their age. Sounds harsh, but the band name turns me off immediately. I'll give it a listen later and offer my critique.
RobinJI
As the others have said, they're bloody good considering the age. I agree about the critacisms though, guitar could do with a little more volume, vocals could do with being a bit less nasal/winey, and the names a bit off-putting, but I mean all that in a completely constructive way, none of them are overly hard things to sort, and there's clearly a lot of talent there. To be fair to them, it's bloody hard to stand out at that age, as against what most people that age seem to think, it's pretty much the time of your life where you have the least individual creativity. They'll be one to watch as they all develop as people as well as musicians. (f**k me that makes me feel/sound old haha, I'm only 23, honest!) Luke Dunstan
(f**k me that makes me feel/sound old haha, I'm only 23, honest!) Sounds worse when you say it's half way to 46.
RobinJI
Sounds better when I think that the amount of time I've been alive for so far, including the early stages I can't remember is still to come again before I even reach being properly middle aged, that's a shit load of fun to be had before I start falling apart
Luke Dunstan
Wow.was okay until the clean vocals which completely killed the song for me. Great promise. But so very generic. Trying to be critical without sounding like a dick.
Ben Cox
Quite enjoyable, but i agree with others that the clean was a little too whiney for my liking. Will keep and eye on them though Ben
Joe O'Connor
I like it man, some of the riffs are real similar to Haste The Day's first stuff. Also sounds a lot like Each Of The Days without the being from Japan part haha Not a fan of the band name at all though. I see lots of potential in there. I may as well put in my bit of spam too. Band from NZ that has been named the "Heaviest band in NZ". Getting real big, nice dudes too. Their low 8 string is tuned to Drop D but an octave down.... o.O
weirdoku
I always think it's a bit of a waste of an 8 string when they only use like 4 strings.
Joe O'Connor
Yeah true. I'm sure the only reason is so they can play so low. But at that low it hardly sounds any different from Drop A so there still isn't much point...
Danny00135
Their low 8 string is tuned to Drop D but an octave down.... o.O And that kids is what happens when you put a bass string on a guitar...
