anzo
Right, my dad had spotify on his iPad on a 48 hour trial. This has since ended and he needs to know the options for continuing to use spotify. I'm a little confused, I see there is a premium subscription which is only required for spotify mobile? Does iPad class as mobile? Also, I hear there is a free version with adverts - is this available on iPad? Never used spotify before but hopefully we have some users here? 1a2bcio8
Free version only allows for 5 listens of any tune and then you can no longer listen to it. The free account used to be good but became something of a joke. I use the non-mobile version for £4.99 p/m and think it's a worthy service. trials owns
Also, I hear there is a free version with adverts Had this on my computer once upon a time, My god! Adverts like every three songs, High pitched very annoying voices. Got very frustrating after a while, Especially with the music on loud! anzo
Is the advert version available on iPad? As a separate app or is it with the spotify account settings?
JD™
Pretty sure the ads version is desktop only, you'll need the £4.99 version for wifi I reckon. For 3G access it's like £10 a month, that's the one I went for.
dann2707
You can download an add on from somewhere that auto disables the ads on spotify (just auto mutes them)

Yeah, you're paying the artist for the song and spotify for the services.
