Theo Sanders
So I've got my 24" Inspired Element and now I want to fit a gyro on it, but I don't know which one would fit. (I've got a complete bike, haven't changed a part yet). Do I need to change any other parts?
Twitch-119
Yes, you would need new parts; cables for definite and a few extra braze-ons for the frame. But it would be very harmful to your braking power, unlesss you went for hydraulic gyro like the Atomlab one, no idea how well they perform though. http://www.tweekscyc...be-spacers-25mm Edited October 21, 2012 by T-Proboy13
Theo Sanders
Would it be ok to set it for rear brake only and fit a longer cable for front one?
isitafox
Best thing to do is just run a longer rear cable to allow bar spins and the like and route the front through the steerer
onza pro series guy
^This. There's no point running a gyro, so much effort to install on a trials frame and a pain in the ass to set up too. Theo Sanders
Just interested, which one does Danny Mac use on his Skye bike?
Revolver
He doesn't use one.
VAMPIRE V12
He uses a hollow star nut and top cap and runs his hose through the steerer if i'm right, you can get all of the parts of tarty to do this conversion i think.
Revolver
That's for the front! A gyro is for the back. It's a well known fact gyros are shite and transmit no power.
Theo Sanders
So could anyone say what exactly parts should I get to be able to barspin? For both rear and front brake, I mean
N.Wood
Hollow topcap Long rear hose? That will allow you to do one barspin, but at some point you'll have to spin the bars back to be able to do another.
Mark W
If you don't have gyro tabs on your frame you can't run a gyro. That's not necessarily a bad thing But yeah, as has been said, hollow top cap kit + longer rear hose = all you need really.
manuel
I have to say that my gyro that I had was great. I actually found it way better for learning whips and the like. Until the seals all died after a week and shit out fluid everywhere. If hydro gyros were designed with a little more thought/care they would be pretty darn awesome. josh barker
a gyro isnt really worth the hassle to be honest, not on a trials bike anyway, as said, hollow top cap kit+longer hose is all you need

Yeah i know its for the front but i posted it because i know that works on the front, as someone else may have a setup for the rear that i dont know about. And it looks like most people agree with me on the hollow top cap part
FamilyBiker
to be honest i dont even got my front hose going through the steerer and can tailwhip the bike.just a matter of how long they are and how you place them.
