FamilyBiker
as topic says the trialtech forged stems look exactly like the procraft 4bolt II ones. is there really any difference in material or could i save some bucks buying procraft? weegav
20" Trialtech stems (the longer ones) are the same as the onza stems. And they both come out of the same factory.

trials hoe
Yeah but who wants onza parts on their bike? nobody I started trials on an onza rip 09 brand snobs......haha a lot of parts will be made in the same place, then they put their own brand stickers on whatever part it is. that procraft one looks more like a system ex stem Edited October 20, 2012 by trials hoe

I started on an onza because it was the only brand I knew at the start. Edited October 20, 2012 by JMCD
bing
Yeah but who wants onza parts on their bike? i do. i ve got an onza blade, with a 165/35 forged onza stem, and a pro series back wheel. lasts longer than deng shite. just remember, while you are slagging onza off, most of the pro riders in this country started off on an onza, and if it wasnt for them bike trials in the uk wouldnt be as big as it is now. And before you ask, im not sponsored by them Edited October 20, 2012 by bing

Hey hey I never said they were shite??? I just said I prefer trialtech to them, I'd happily run onza parts but I'd rather not because I choose not to haha is it that much of a big deal to you? FamilyBiker
the pic of the procraft was a bad one, heres another on wich it looks the same, except angle and colour scheme.btw the onza debate isnt my threads base, just saying my tuf guy forks are great... http://www.bike-mail...1-8mm-35013.jpg brand snobs......haha a lot of parts will be made in the same place, then they put their own brand stickers on whatever part it is. that procraft one looks more like a system ex stem yeah formula, cmp, tattoo and brave hubs are joytech for example. FamilyBiker
feel free to start an "onza good or not"poll in another topic, but please gimme your opinions about the actual topic here.are we otn? but fyi:most trials brands give orders to ningbo or shenzhen,2 of the biggest frame manufacturing places worldwide, think onza will be no exception. just cant find such info about trialtech, thats why i am asking if somebody knows Edited October 20, 2012 by FamilyBiker
bing
sorry for trashing your thread dude. just got my goat a bit. not everybody can afford to splash out on deng or trialtech stuff, nor do they have a rich mummy and daddy to buy everything for them. in those cases, most people turn to onza, cos in my opinion they make half decent, durable gear. @jmcd, I know you didn't say onza was shite, read it again, I said deng stuff was shite. the only deng bit I have on mine is echo urban forks, for that reason. and when they f**k up I'll be getting summat else, prob try alls. FamilyBiker
its not that i cant afford trialtech stuff, its just me,not willing to pay 45 euro instead of 25,for the same product...
CalopS
A lot of stems look like they come from the same factory. If your not bothered about brands or dealing with other companies than trials ones then go for it.

Carlperkins
you get for what you pay for... buy a £4 stem.. itll snap. buy a £20 stem.. it may snap. buy a £45 stem.. it wont snap. in most cases. this is not always the case but its an alright guide to go by. also.. those 2 stems up there look nothing alike. I had a 20 quid system x stem on my inspired, and it was fine. could have coughed 45 on a trialtech one , but what's the point edit: just read it properly, have had a few Stella's. I agree lol Edited October 20, 2012 by bing

CalopS
The point is that it's better, get over it. I like my TT stuff but just because another companies product is cheaper and not trials specific doesn't mean it's not going to perform as well. System ex stuff is usually really good quality. Plenty of people use there stems over trials brands because it's cheaper and just as good.
SamKidney
My Echo has been quality so far. Im running an Onza stem, which too, is great. Carthy was riding a Limey 4 today, complete with a pro diamond wheelset, genesis forks and onza stem too.... Was doing the job more than fine for him! I dont mind running Onza parts, or any companies parts. I buy what works. I wouldnt say, choose some try-all forks over Onzas Genesis fork because theyre onzas...but then you'd have to be silly to anyway, try-alls are made of cheese....
