Danny00135
Just wondering what grinding technique people use?? Scouting through youtube and I saw this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpkfjkPzCFc anybody used this, does it serve advantages to the technique in the tartybikes and TNN video (Thats the one I use) never seen this technique before (A) EDIT: just realised you can't do it with the tyre still on.. so tyre gunk, but it looks like it'll be easier to get a perfect grind.. SamKidney
Semi-fast sweeps across the rim, arcing the grinder to follow the curvature of the rim. Gives me an even grind everytime, and as a result my grinds seem to last longer and offer more consistent braking as the grind wears. trials hoe
i usally whip the wheel off, clamp the axle in the vice give it a spin and grind away. essentially the same as in the vid, gave a more consistant finnish and looks a bit nicer than the back and forth method. i'd say it only gives an astetic benifit raather than a functional one, its the same rim and grider at the end of the day.
