Posted October 20, 2012 Report Share Posted October 20, 2012 I just finished working 5 weeks none stop, 8 hour shifts mon - fri, 12 hour shifts sat - sun, alternative shifts too, so 6 - 2 one week, 12 hour earlys sat sun, monday id be on 2-10 for a week, then 12 hour nights sat sun, then 8 hour nights the following week and so on... in the past 5 weeks, i earned £3,476.58. but walked away with £2,549.54 after paying bloody £927 tax!! lol. in total, i done 94 hours over time though... it all adds up! iv been at my current job for only 5 months so far, and in that 5 months iv earned £12,901 oh yeah, im on £13.66ph basic and £17.85OT as a factory worker for Pirelli Tyres hah! You might get a lot of that tax back if work less hours for the rest of the tax year. Happened to me one month when I worked my ass off, and then was unemployed for the rest of the year.
