Pete.M
I've read that a 68 mm BB can fit a frame with a 73mm width, but is it only certain types that are capable of that, like external ones? Would an internal one continue screwing in until it reaches it's 68mm width? What potential issues would there be? BB's are one of the few things I haven't ever taken apart. I'm needing a square taper 73mm BB, but tarty only seem to have 68mm square taper BB's, hence the questions. Obviously I'm aware that other online bike part shops are available

Pete.M
cheers, shame it only has 122.5 mm axle, I think I could do with a tad more length but its probably not that important....
bing
if you need more length on the axle to get it in the right place for your chain line, use bb spacers if the longest they do is 122.5. and shave a bit off your bash ring so it is closer to the crank. I did it on my inspired, with a 122.5 bb and chain line was right and plenty of clearance for my freewheel
Pete.M
I think the chain line will be ok with a 122.5 axle so I'm tempted to give it a shot. Cheers.
