dann2707
this topic has made me realise, and i'm gonna be careful how this is phrased, has made me realise that we are a special group of people. From the comp heads to the adreneline nuts to the elitists to people treating confidence issues and aspergers like conditions to people who would or (this is me) can't imagine the very different place in the world they would be in and have a very different life. Im sure there are many other groups too in this huge melting pot we call trials and TF. Ciaran Definitely. It's such a great community, like people sending other people free parts. It's not the material side of it, more of the thought if you get me. Just a shame when people try to ruin it for others and try to create a diversity !
Martin Reynolds
Definitely. It's such a great community, like people sending other people free parts. It's not the material side of it, more of the thought if you get me. Just a shame when people try to ruin it for others and try to create a diversity ! THIS! this by a million times! you get people like Matthew_Gibson who sent me a packet of booster spacers, and wouldnt accept ANY money for them, and like Danny00135 who felt bad for not selling a knackered hub to me cause someone paid before me, even though i wasnt 100% intrested in buying it! Then theres the like of Luke cockshott who i had to chase for 8 months to get the product i paid for!
Blake
Trials gives me something to do, something to look forward to, something to spend money on, something to spend my money on and something to get me outside. Even before with other interests like guitar and drums, I was never as committed as I to trials now. I've also improved quicker in trials than I have in any other hobby/skill. And it's the only sport I actually do.
tryallmaster
Trials is an incentive for me to work hard and efficently. The better I am at my job the more time I get on the bike. For the past 13 years trials has played part in life decisions and I have never made a decision to make it harder for me to ride (apart from working full time). Trials also made my move to Australia much easier, socially. As soon as I landed here 5 years ago I instantly had mates I could ride with (never met them face to face prior). This made the move much more welcoming. Leaving your uni mates and child hood mates behind was not easy. Trials definitely helped me find a new group to hang out with. AND of course, if my girlfriend does not like trials she can RACK OFF HAHA
CC12345678910
good look with that, it's usually bike OR gf, not both. seen it happen tooo many times. This usually compounds when motorbikes become involved in this equation. Edited November 5, 2012 by CC12345678910

This usually compounds when motorbikes become involved in this equation. I have both, I think my girlfriend realises I love my bike as much as I love her, if she told me to give up the bike i'd never see her again. Sadly, a lot of other people stop riding to see their girlfriends, which makes me sad
FamilyBiker
we should get a shirt that has tf logo on front and on the back: "my wife(girlfriend) said,if m going to ride my bike today, she´ll leave me... ...i´m gonna miss her!" trialkid
Well i started riding trials 10 years ago! Bloody hell. It wasn't the coolest thing to do back in 2002/2003 but mate alot of friends and lost a few along the way! Don't ride much these days but if i dont ride for a few months i get like a fever and have to get back on it! It changed my life in my early teens as i got very fit and had a good hobby! Also bike skills and balance i'll keep for a long time. Also being able to manual indefinately is life changing isn't it?!

p_ruskin
I genuinely have no idea what I would do with my weekends if I didn't have a bike, been riding for just over 3 years and it has been the main point in my life for all that time up until quite recently, just don't have as much time with my exams coming up and it being dark/wet the majority of the time
