isitafox
What has done me is usually when people get a Marino they get pics of the design drawn out on a large piece of cardboard showing confirmation of various things like geo and extra touches. I'm just scared mine will come and be nothing like how I wanted or missing something I wanted on it/got something on I didn't
FamilyBiker
massively depends on how you told him to do,if you send a spec list that tells you have a clue there are not many things to confirm. i sent a wordpad doc and a bikecadfile and havent received any questions yet. i have a clue... isitafox
Either way I'll drop him some polite feedback for the sake of any future customers.
JD™
I got that pic earlier too, meant to come in and let people know. Apparently one of them is mine, and will be painted soon. Hope all of the rest of ours are soon after.
Paperclip
He sent me a detailed picture and a drawing that looked like he had made it on Paint of what my frame will look like before he stopped emailing me, Did he not do that with you Dave? I'm getting exited now those frames look pretty cool from what I can see
isitafox
He did a bike cad showing the geo but that's cause I kept changing bits at first then as soon as I sent my money I heard nothing back despite him saying he'd start it and send me an update in a couple of days. I mentioned the specific bits when I sent the first enquiry so he should have them all together with my emails. There's probably nothing to worry about, I just get really impatient. Gonna be a couple of months before I can afford to get it built up anyway

isitafox
Did you do that in bikecad? I couldn't for the life of me find an option to show/input the reach, I know you need the pro version to show the wheelbase.
LEON
sent that plus a word doc with special details, received just an "ok" I'd love to see your tyre clearance when it's built lol. LEON
I think you're either gonna need 2 steerer tubes or a mod stem
FamilyBiker
pretty High, I thought mine might be too high at +25 ha i´m doing too much backwheel stuff for having a streety geo anymore,i´m trying to evolve my geo to the style i´m riding and my body measurements, based on my experience with my actual frame and a friends because street.both were too low on bb for me,mine still is... maybe its gonna be a trials bike in street look, but who cares? i´m sick of the cramped feel Edited December 29, 2012 by FamilyBiker

LEON
I see, I thought looking at your old bike you were going for the usual Fourplay/Skye geo mix again. Will be interesting to see it built up! We should all meet up back in this thread when our bikes are built & share regret over the colours we chose.
isitafox
Definately, gonna be a good mix of bikes by the looks of things.
Paperclip
You don't want your frame to be cramped........ 359 chain stay? Right
LEON
The back end has nothing to do with your reach/ being cramped. Because his stays are so short, he can have a more spacious front end for the same given wheelbase.
Paperclip
I hadn't put that much thought into it, I'm interested to see what it ride's like for you Everyone else getting 24"'s then?

LEON
I'm getting 24 & 26. The 26 will just be a Hex with a few mm off each end, the 24 will be a Skye based hybrid, which I think a few people have gone for, I think Mine Ross's and JD's are all very similar. Paperclip
I upgraded my Hex geo to suit my style hopefully that's going to work out. . . . I thought he had some cool new style Headtubes?
LEON
Yeah he did but he must have used them on the bike polo frames Bit disappointed about that.
Paperclip
+1 I asked if I could have one, Clearly not if one of those frames are mine haha. I hope he atleast cuts the headtube out
