BradJohnson
So, i'm wanting to paint the frame on my echo 24" as its starting to look very tatty. I'm a little unsure on what colour to paint it. Option 1: Matte Purple. Option 2: Matte black. Option 3: Silver. My first question is, How can i go about getting the matte fininsh, the obvious option is getting matte paint and leaving it unlaqured but if i do this the paint will chip really easy wont it? Second question: Would painting the frame silver look silly/cheap or if i do a decent enough job of it will it look like new? Lastly does anyone have anyother suggestions in colour/finish. Except leaving it as it is, cause it doesn't matter how it looks cause its a trials bike and will look tatty in a few weeks.

ULtrialsguy
Well if your into that sort of thing....... I don't recommend taking up that hobby. Anyway I don't really have any useful advice on painting so I'm going to stay out of it. Oops too late. dann2707
Why would you paint a silver frame silver? Ehhhh
SamKidney
Spend a bit of time with some wet and dry paper Brad. I used it to get my Zoo looking decent again. Will look like new. Gives a duller finish than a polish.
trialsiain
Andrew dickey painted his pure matte black and i think it looks great, i asked him how and here was his reply..I gave it a light sand, but the most important thing is that the first coat should be really light, so you can still see the original colour below, then build up with successive heavier coats about 10min apart. This will help the paint bond well and avoid runs.
