Farmer John's

Talking to the Mother in law last night and she told me about a MTB park nearby run by a farmer she knows from a local farm supplies store. Seems pretty well known in the UK MTB scene and has had a lot of the National comps there over the last few years, they currently have a main downhill track, short downhill track, dirt jump course and a couple of freeride sections set up. Don't know how they got talking about it but apparently the guy is cutting his hours back to put more time into the park so I've emailed him to ask if he's got any interest in making any trials areas there. She did say he mentioned trials so with any luck, if I can convince him there'll be enough interest, we could be in with a chance of a northern Barrow Farm-esque riding location.

I'll keep this updated when I hear back but for now I'm just keeping my fingers crossed!

Had a reply first thing from (I assume) John's wife, says they have a group of lads who have set up some pretty cool trials but whether she's getting mixed up with trails or not I don't know. Said I'm welcome to call for a look round any time and left her contact number so I might try for a look next week when I'm on nights. If there is some trials sections I'll get a few pics and if not will have a word in person and see what can be done, they sound pretty open to ideas so all very promising!
