isitafox
If you can get hold of just the echo calipers cheap then match them up with some £12.99 Shimano M445 levers, mine are immense. So powerful and (hopefully) no chance of them leaking like the TR levers sometimes do. I managed to build a pair for under £100 but it depends on whether or not you can find some calipers.
AdamR28
Out of the two you mentioned, the MT2s.
Blake
mt2's are great for the price. Look and feel awesome, and the bike I rode that had them felt awesome, he said they hadn't slipped even while bedding in. Plus they're magura so you know you're getting a class product. Sam Song
How does MT2 work for the front of a pure trials bike? I have a hope trials in the front of my Piranha, but I'm not happy with the performance Plus, Hope levers cut my fingers. Lol
wilf
If you're after some MT2's check these this out. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pair-Magura-MT2-Brakes-RRP-198-00-/190724492316?pt=UK_sportsleisure_cycling_bikeparts_SR&hash=item2c6810cc1c Wilf
Mark W
+1 for the MT2s. Ali ran them and they felt awesome, and the ones fitted to the 1049s feel really good too. Al_Fel did a little mini review of his and he seems pretty pleased.
Rebelistic
I love my MT2s ) I really wish my Inspired had a rear disc mount so could run a pair on there too (currently run dual MT2s on my 1049 mod). "How does MT2 work for the front of a pure trials bike?" On my Koxx 1049 mod the MT2s work great front and rear. I don't seem to be able to modulate the front as well as I could with a shimano SLX on stock (the stopping power seems better though) however the different wheel/rotor sizes make that comparison a poor one. On the Mod the MT2s seem quite good for on/off braking and hold very well. I'd say they're really good trials brakes. Levers feel comfy too. edit: dunno why my smiley comes out like that ) Edited October 9, 2012 by Rebelistic
