Luke Dunstan
I'm sure everyone knows what happened here, but isn't it a bit weird how the media covered it non stop for a week or two, and then over night everything went quiet? I can't help but wonder if someone knows something and has gagged the press? I can't see the press just getting bored of a story this big. Does anyone have any theories? Doddsy2801
Ill tell you one thing for certain, no "mugger" fires minimal rounds, all head shots, and has the composure and the professionalism to take out two witness after wards.

Duncy H
From what I can remember I would say assassination. Does anybody know what his or his wife's jobs were? Or any link that they could have to some information someone might not want them to know?
Mark W
In fairness, news stories get dropped after around that period because often people simply lose interest. Even the April Jones story has slipped down the pecking order for news stories and that's still on-going. When there's less 'news' to actually report on a story it's never going to hold peoples interest as well, so it's not too surprising to see it not covered as extensively now. I'm not saying that there's not being a cover-up or anything, but short lifespans for news stories is nothing new - it's just a by-product of the way that news is created, produced and consumed now.

They certainly seemed to be executions by someone who definitely knew what he/she was doing. I don't remember hearing anything about witnesses hearing gunshots? so maybe it was a suppressed firearm to?

Yeah, to be honest that does make sense However stories this big usually use the smallest development as a headline. But maybe there was just nothing to go on? I forgot about it until yesterday and was just puzzled to the media silence.

Yeah more then likely, given the location the sound of the shots would resonate pretty well, and there were houses in fairly close proximity. Definitely a pro, or at least some one from a military back ground thats for certain.
Mikee
I haven't even heard about this. The only news I follow regularly is local news.
trials hoe
Ill tell you one thing for certain, no "mugger" fires minimal rounds, all head shots, and has the composure and the professionalism to take out two witness after wards. so professional he completely missed the witness in the car, granted a young severley traumatised child will be of no use to get a prosecution with but still. i had a debate with a guy i used to work with (he spent 8 years in the special forces doing some pretty unplesant shit) and he said if was 'professional hit' it was very sloppy indeed, and wasn't it in france there was those dicks going round on a scooter shooting people randomly? could be a spin off of those morons. as for coverage, news channels have ratings too.....depends what news you watch plus they all scare monger, jump to conclusions and are gerneraly full of shit imo. monkeyseemonkeydo
Am I being cynical (or racist?) if I wonder whether the media would've kept more up to speed if the victims had been a family of well liked white folks rather than ex Iraqis? Did sound relatively professional (double taps to the head on several of them) but maybe just not as good as the real pros with loose ends left. I think you may be right on the first point, I did wonder that myself. Would love to know why it happened.
Rusevelt
All the national newspapers should have an article on the recent French Alps massacre. Edited October 11, 2012 by Rusevelt
